I’m just here to chip in my two cents as a Chilean: while we’ve had years of rivalry with Argentina for various reasons, one thing I’ve noticed is the arrogance Argentines display about wanting to win the World Cup. i hate engaging in these kind of discussions so I will only say this: no country has a clean history when it comes to slavery/racism. That is a fact. Argentina is no exception. However, an american making a comment about how it’s so bad here is really fucking funny considering that american policemen literally murdered innocent black people not even 7 years ago. So yes, some argentinians are racist (and when it comes to football the insults tend to get really bad) and it’s gotten worse under out idiotic president’s government, but it could never be compared to what some other countries have done and keep doing to the black community. We tend to be really welcoming with immigrants, in fact our public universities are free of charge to whomever comes here, no matter the country. Argentinians face so many social/economical issues currently, and racism doesn’t even make the top five
