rin in tensai rock reminds me so much of wanopo’s megane girl megane boy.. which incidentally would also work great as a wxs cover. although they should give rin’s lines to tsukasa and len’s to nene for accuracy

nothing surprising here but wxs has always had my favorite characterization especially when it comes to fleshing out their creative/professional goals and how those relate to their personalities and emotional journeys. there’s a nice balance to it imo

the full version of all in one being almost 5 minutes long… the crazy industrial metal parts and the rewinding and time loopiness… tenma tsukasa how does it feel to deliver peak every fucking time

something something i think it’s significant that saki is both tsukasa’s greatest inspiration and the center of his darkest memories, which is why emu needed to be the one to snap him out of his funk, being the one tsukasa probably feels most responsible for due to her immaturity and her usually unquestioning faith in him — i really wonder how evident the link between emu and saki is meant to be because obviously once they become classmates there’s a very clear thread of them being similarly excitable and sweeping shiho along with them, but also there’s the contrast of saki being sickly and physically frail vs emu’s superhuman physicality that would make it easy to imagine that tsukasa sees a version of saki in emu. and then if you put wxs miku in the equation, it actually feels really intentional to me since miku is so much like emu but tsukasa’s sekai was created from his pre wxs experiences which were really shaped by his relationship with saki, making that miku arguably a reflection of saki’s younger self more than anything else

re: tsukasa’s fear of being forgotten… i like to think of him as a character who is always trying to earn his presence in people’s lives, like he’s always trying to be the reliable dependable leader because on some level he’s internalized that he needs to be able to withstand everything on his own, or at least without someone else watching over him (because he’s used to having to do everything that way). so it’s really interesting to think about how much he must hate making his friends and family worry about him, like he always shuts that kind of thing down fast and insists he can handle things, so how must he feel when he cracks under the pressure and needs other people to intervene on his behalf?? that’s kind of the worst thing in the world for tsukasa, especially with the people he considers himself responsible for

MUCH to say about tsukasa7 like where do we even begin… i may just save myself and not try to read all the leaks on my own

reading the new kohane event on ensekai.. they’ve fully given up on pretending kohane events aren’t just about advancing the general (lackluster) vbs plot without adding anything substantial to kohane’s character despite being HER focus. it’s totally a self inflicted problem the writing team has created but it annoys me every time there’s absolutely nothing for kohane to challenge within herself besides the same nebulous “music makes my heart pound” idea from the main story. for god’s sake she needs to sometimes be greedy and sometimes fail so she can actually learn something and feel like a real person. if you refuse to knock your characters down it doesn’t really mean anything to see them succeed

project sekai should update their 3d models but i’m not a fan of when ppl suggest they should make the proportions more realistic.. like the things people suggest (more musculature, longer limbs, smaller heads) seem like they’re honestly more in service of pushing the minority of male characters towards a more mature look at the expense of the game’s established style. if i wanted enstars looking models i would probably just play enstars yknow?? i like that the characters lean more cute, i’d just like the physics and costume details to get an update
