I hadn’t posted this on tumblr yet but I’ve been working on a robot dude concept for my portfolio, here’s some concept art and a final render. I also wrote a small paragraph about their background which you can read beneath the cut!

Watch this space: over the next year we’re producing a series of animatics to tell the story of High Hopes Low Rolls. This is a project we’re all super excited about, and want to get out to you as quickly as possible, but like all things if it’s worth doing it’s worth doing well and we really want this to be to the best we can make it.

This is going to take a while. Obviously, work of this nature takes time (it’s a lot to draw), but we believe strongly that everyone should be paid for their work and receive proper credit and so to that end we have endeavoured to make as many of the components ourselves - the music, the visuals, the voice over. Everything we possibly can. Whilst we’re really excited to be working on this project, we’ve got jobs we gotta do so that we can y’know, eat and pay rent.

Loads of you have expressed an interest in us making a podcast, or live streaming our sessions - which we would love to do - but unfortunately, we’re not in the position to do so at any quality that’s worth watching or listening to. Thanks so much for your interest, it’s definitely on our to-do list!
