Break Free {Madi & Kendall}

Madi nodded when Kendall asked if she had been in this area before. “Yup. This is the town I used to prostitute around.” she said, shrugging lightly as if it were no big deal that she was only 16 and a former prostitute. She neared the gate of the pool, and grabbed a bobby pin from her bag, picking the lock until it came loose and she walked in, looking back at Kendall. 

Kendall took a deep breath in when Madi said that so non- nonchalantly. "Wow, then why would you want to come back here? She questioned curiously. Kendall began to worry when she saw Madi removed the bobby pin from here hair. She knew when that lock came loose it shouldn't have, they shouldn't be there "Wh-what are you doing? We can't be in here. It says right on the sign." She pointed towards the sign that said 'Pool hours: 9-10'

Madi smiled as she gave the directions to Kendall, telling her to slow down as they neared a part of town that looked like it wasn’t the best part of town, but, it wasn’t the worst. It was the old neighborhood where she used to prostitute around. She thought for a few moments as she told Kendall to slow down as they neared the public pool. “Here. Let’s stop here.” she said.

 Kendall began to worry a little more as they drove deeper into what seemed like a darker neighborhood. She looked at the houses, if they could be called that, with their shutters hanging sideways off the windows and their front doors which looked as if they were off the hinges. Kendall had never been one to look down on anyone, she wasn't disgusted by what she was seeing, but it made her feel bad for the people living in these homes. It made her think about their stories, and their histories. Kendall pulled to the side of the road by instruction and unbuckled her seat belt. "Have you been here before? It all seems a little sad"

Madi laughed a little. “I’ll direct you to where you need to go.” she said, smiling to herself. She wasn’t exactly sure where they were going, but she had an idea and she was glad to just get out of the house. “Trust me, it’s going to be super fun.” she said, looking out the window and watching the night roll on as she gave Kendall directions. 

"Okay." Kendall said, hesitating a little before the words came out of her mouth. Kendall just looked straight ahead, tonight could go really well or really badly, but it wasn't really in her hands anymore. She knew her limits, and she wouldn't do anything she wasn't too comfortable with. She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, tightened her grip on the steering wheel and said "I hope so."
