We are having one of the busiest summers since moving to SC in 2011. 🌸🌴🌸

July will be the anniversary of our move, and I still can remember the feeling of excitement and hope for a happier healthier life.  Almost like feeling butterflies in your belly combined with a bouyant feeling in the heart.  I love change that I've planned out and have the illusion of FULL control over.

Well, I've had some forward steps and some backward steps.  I think it's about  a draw at the moment, but I'm forever the optimist.  Or maybe dreamer is a better descriptive.  In any case, I keep on chugging and try to paste a smile on for the masses.

I can’t believe that four months have gone since I wrote here! When you are trying to find work/ home and family balance, and you are trying to do way to much, time goes by and you realize you’ve accomplished NOTHING! 🌼🌼🌼

That’s where I’ve been at for a while, as I’m sure many others who are trying to earn a real living from a home business can get. Summer was going to be hard, I knew that so I didn’t have big expectations. One thing I can say is that I have learned some things. Therefore the time has been of great value to me, and as I share with you, helpful to some others, I imagine. 🌼🌼🌼 Let’s think about what happens when you try to do too much. The first thing that I find happens, is that nothing goes well, because you can’t give anything full attention. In order for your home business to be a success, you need to give it your full attention, whether you spend an hour a day or 10 hours a day. Bopping from thing to thing WILL lead to missed opportunities, dropping the ball, and incomplete actions

Do a lot of people feel like they are out there alone?  I never analyzed this idea, because I've been busy feeling alone trying to earn enough money for my family.   From the time I started working to earn a full-time income, over 25 years ago, I knew that being part of a team was important, but I believed to the core that ultimately, it was up to me if I was going to make it.

I've started to re-evaluate that idea.  It seems that so many are not earning enough in their online or at home business.  Every week or month it is a struggle to retain members or make enough sales or do whatever it takes to keep the money coming in.  Residual income is such a draw, but who is REALLY making it?

Teamwork is primarily about creating strong relationships, and having TRUST in others.  Admittedly not my strong suit.  I've been researching many companies and opportunities.  Not by only asking questions or doing Google searches...I've joined companies and bought products to see what is really going on. Some groups that use "team" as a big part of their pitch, are most often team only on paper. The relationships are not real, they don't get personal or spend time knowing one another.  Worst of all they are not learning about one another and using the best people for the best jobs.  But that is a topic for another day...

Teams that send you a few emails with information or instruct you to watch a video and cut and paste text and links anywhere you can...  not a team.  Teams that suck you in and try to up-sell you or sell you something new every other day...sorry, not a team.  Worst of all teams that make promises like " I will sign people under you, I am awesome at this and I will give you guaranteed income", then nothing like that happens....SOO not a team.

But I see this happening all over.  So, what is working?  The constant truth:  Communication.  I am part of a business that has a great compensation plan and its not difficult at all to be making a few hundred ($600-$800)  the first month.  With hard work, $50,000 a year by the 6th-8th month.  What is different so far?  My sponsor into the business calls me on the phone EVERY DAY.  He knows about me and I know about him.. Not everything, certainly not super detailed personal stuff.   But the start of a good friendship.  He has hundreds of people under him.  Why does he keep in touch so closely? Because he has mastered the concept of teamwork.

Another group I'm part of...has a rotation on the sign up link between members that share it.  How cool is that?  True teamwork and trust-  you could be signing up someone else all day, and you know what?  Its OK because another time it will be YOU that gets that new team member that you didn't have to work for.  Very cool in my opinion.  This group also shares free information as a regular part of the business and mentors people in many other companies without pressuring them to switch over or criticizing the company they are with.  You could think it a strategy or tactic to win others over, but I see good Karma.  Why?  Because I am getting to KNOW the person I work under, and that is not how he is thinking.
