There is a narrow trail that leads downhill to this wide and beautiful spot. Tall trees and pine needles are all over the ground. Laurel Hill State Park Hemlock Trail.

This is such a lovely place to stop and just listen to the stream. I've been hiking at this park for a long time, and I always stop for a few minutes.

A soft lavender filter on this image adds a lovely depth to it without taking away the green. And it has a retro feel, probably because a lot of early color prints had a purple tint. At least that's what I remember.
