Violence against men is still violence.
This story has been getting all of the wrong attention. The focus has been on what Jay-Z may have done to cause this behavior from Beyonce's sister. That is of no matter regarding her behavior. It is unacceptable for anyone to behave in that way. I have behaved this way in the past and can say for a fact that it resolves nothing. This behavior should not be applauded, celebrated, made fun of or placed in any regard other than abhorent. I am proud of Cosmopolitan for posting this article in lieu of all of the others out there discussing the many reasons why this may have happened. It just should not have happened no matter what.

The daffodil reminds me of spring awakening, as well as the special people in my life that were taken too soon. My mother always told me that we are not to continue to mourn these loved ones, but to celebrate all the reasons they were chosen by God to leave this earth and do his will. Daffodils remind me of how special they must have been and that is why I loved them so much.

From these choices, my favorite option would have to be the chocolate milk. If I had a blender, I would try the Peanut butter & banana smoothie. Protein powder is something I think I will stay away from, so in recipes I intend to substitute for low fat milk or peanut butter, and have thought about trying chia seeds. If I decide to try the Chia seeds, I will certainly update with my success or failure.
Monday, March 31, 2014 was my initial attempt to begin the first week of April with fitness. I used the following videos via YouTube:

In addition, I made it through 15 of 30 minutes of a HIIT Denise Austin workout Video on Hulu. Unable to keep up, I moved on to the Core workout. I think I have found a more beginner's cardio workout to try next. The Core workout was good, and it was only toward the end during a certain move that I could not quite keep up, but I finished it. I will try this one again. After that, I completed the video “Get Madonna's Arms,” and boy did I feel the burn. You would not think so with 3 and 5-lb weights, but by the end, my triceps were screaming at me. This is wild because I am by no means a weakling, so I guess I was using muscles that have neglected lately, which is good. I will definitely try that one again as well.
After that, I rested, ate a few spoons of peanut butter, as I did not have any wheat bread at the time. Then I ate some leftover grilled chicken breast and a few glasses of water. After a while, I had to run some errands, and I did that by actually walking, not running or driving a car. This was for a total of 2.1 miles; I tracked by way of Google Maps
Then, of course, I got home and was famished, so I drank more water, and snacked on a few graham crackers, some more peanut butter and <cringe> a brownie or two. For dinner, I majorly ruined all the work I put in from the day of workout and walking by eating pizza, thanks to the unhealthy husband.
He absolutely does not care about my goals, and gets mad when I try to eat healthy. He acts as if that will not make a difference because I have given up on the workouts so often in the past. Therefore, I have made it my mission to prove him wrong, make sure I have enough healthy food around and keep on with my plan, and keep this blog up to date with my progress.
This might be cool, I'll update once I have taken it for a test drive. Anything to save some $$
