Took a break from posting but have written so many things, I can’t wait to share with yall! But for now, here is where my heart is. This poem is for everyone, but more specifically for those who see growth and change as something amazing, yet terrifying. For those who are scared of being told that they’re “giving up” when wanting to abandon what you once wanted because you’re craving something different, wanting bigger things for yourself- burying your childhood dreams in your childhood backyard because the older you planted new ones. 💌

I’ve had half of this sitting in my notes for so long- I just couldn’t finish it till recently. I wrote this about never knowing how to live in the moment when you want so much more than what you have- that feeling of wanting to step out of your current life to live the dream life you’ve always wanted. For me, that was happiness. I was sitting in so much sadness for so long, I still had people I loved dearly in my life. But I just couldn’t see the good in it when so much was going wrong. I wanted to live the life most may say is difficult to achieve- a life with happiness. I’m slowly getting there & have started talking about gratefulness at the dinner table. but I just wanted to write this in a way that can relate to everyone- some may want to live a life of happiness or living in a different city, living your dreams- whatever it is. but more writing to come! 💌
