- Kurou Amano: I feel like he's just Tagalog and can only speak it. Like I don't really see him being apart of any other ethnic/ethnolinguistic groups.
- Nishijima Masumi: It's almost the same reasoning as Kurou but I like to think when he got closer with Minene he tried to speak Cebuano with her lol. Which flusters Minenes.
Tagalog but can speak different languages of the Philippines
- Kamado Ueshita: I like to think because a lot of the orphans come from different ethnic/ethnolinguistic groups, she gradually builded up being able to understand and at least speak to them in their languages. While not fluent, I think she'd be able to communicate decently.
- Deus ex Machina: Bro he's a god and if all of them are gonna come from different ethnic/ethnolinguistic groups then why not he also understands them too. So while I think he's Tagalog, he definitely would know a lot of the languages they speak lol and would converse in them with it depending on the Diary Holder.
- Yukiteru Amano: because his dad's Tagalog and his mom's Ilokano, I like to think Ilokano was his native tongue since he was more close with his mother but he can also speak Tagalog when he goes to school. So when he met his friends I think talking with them gave him more of a chance to get better.
- Ai Mikami: I like to think she would flirt with Marco in Ilokano(how do you think dirty talk in Ilokano would go lmao). I feel like she probably struggles with Tagalog and makes slip ups whenever she does try to converse in Tagalog, I feel like she's probably a bit conscious about it. Since there are some Ilokano words that are almost identical to the Tagalog version of the same word except with some really minor differences, so she would use the Ilokano ones more.
- Akise Aru: He's an Ilokano but can also speak Tagalog and when he meets Yukki's friends I think he would try to converse with them in their languages sometimes. Maybe even joke around in their languages.
- Marco Ikusaba: Just like Ai, I think they're just both Ilokanos and I also like to think he compliments her in Ilokano and she really loves it. I also think he'd make slip ups when trying to speak Tagalog but probably doesn't care much about it. I also like to think when he swears it's in Ilokano lol.
- Rea Amano: I used to see her as Tagalog but now I feel like she's an Ilokano to me(the Ilokano is spreading!!!) I would think Ilokano is her native language but when she works at her job, she had to learn Tagalog. Though when she's at home, she'd speak in Ilokano to Yuki.
- Keigo Kurusu: I think he's really conscious about when he makes slip ups when speaking in Tagalog. I think when he's at work he tries really hard to make sure his Tagalog isn't fucked up😭. But when he's with his family he just speaks Ilokano to his wife and son without a damn. I like to think he's probably secretly excited when he meets another Ilokano.
- Reisuke Houjou: He is definitely an Ilokano, I like to think he addresses Yuno as "Manang Yuno" lol. Not really much to say but I cannot see him just being Tagalog lol.
- Hinata Hino: Considering she has a Kansai Dialect in the anime, I feel like when she speaks to her friends, there definitely will be some Cebuano in the sentences. Not like too much to the point they wonder what the hell she said but it's still there, though I think depending on the context they can assume what she's trying to say.
- Orin Miyashiro: I think she's a Cebuano but she can speak some other languages because her friends come from different ethnic/ethnolinguistic groups(Like Ai and Marco are Ilokano, Kamado is Tagalog..) so she also tries learning some of the other languages.
- Minene Uryuu: She would have Cebuano as her native tongue but since she's constantly moving and going to different places, she's probably picked up some other languages. While not fluent or not that great, it's maybe like she has limited vocabulary and will end up switching to Cebuano sometimes. Though I think after meeting Nishijima her Tagalog probably got better.
- Yuno Gasai: I think her mother would be Ilonggo and her father is Cebuano. Though I feel like she wasn't good at Tagalog but ever since she met Yuki she tried to really learn Tagalog to get closer to him lol.
Cebuano but larps as being Tagalog only
- Karyuudo Tsukishima: This is kind of a joke with the tiers title, I still do see him as Cebuano but I like to think he larps as being only Tagalog 😭 so he tries hard only speaking Tagalog as if he wasn't Cebuano but when he ever speaks with Hinata the Tagalog he speaks starts to slip into Cebuano lol.
Tagalog but larps his very little Spanish ancestry
- John Bacchus: He probably just found out he had like less than a quarter Spanish in him and decided to larp as it but I just know behind closed door he's eating ginisang munggo lmao
- Kosaka Ouji: He just found out he has like 10% something Spanish and decided to brag about that shit as if he didn't look Filipino and eats some damn sinigang. Though maybe later in life he outgrows that and stops larping his damn 10% something Spanish ancestry or something.
- Takao Hiyama: Has an Ilonggo mother and Tagalog father. I think when he's at school, he teaches in Tagalog.
- Mao Nonosaka: I like to think she compliments Hinata in Ilonggo lol, not much to say I just don't see her as Tagalog. I just know she probably has some crazy ass diary notes in Ilonggo.
- Tsubaki Kasugano: I feel like when she's not speaking in front of a fuck ton of people in Tagalog, I think she would speak in Ilonggo to like feel close with her mother or something like that.
- Hirasaka Yomotsu: I just know the way he speaks would go crazy in Ilonggo. But I also like to think he converses with Tsubaki in Ilonggo a lot. I like to think he would've considered saying his lines or quotes in Tagalog but he thought it sounded more epic in Ilonggo so he says it in that.
- Murumuru: I think she'd be Kapampangan but she can speak several of the languages the Diary Holders speak in.
