Some of my Jonathan Crane headcanons:

He has a stutter, but it goes away the moment he puts on the mask.
The mask also affects his voice. Without the mask, when he's feeling uncertain, his voice can be quiet, high-pitched, and somewhat androgynous. When he's Scarecrow (mask on or off), his voice drops lower.
He always carries an asthma inhaler, but he doesn't have asthma. It's actually a dose of fear toxin that he uses on himself. He also puts the toxin in vapes.
His hands, wrists, and fingers are covered in small scratches, from the birds, he lets perch on him and peck at his fingers (this headcanon seems to have gotten really popular while I was away from the fandom.)
He has scars on his lips from the time he sewed his mouth shut and then tore it all to hell.
He experiences constant aching pain in his joints due to hypermobility he's had since childhood. He's used to it.
He has a persistent tremor in his hands. It doesn't interfere much, even when working with chemicals, but it's noticeable.
There are constant chafing marks on his neck from a tightened rope.
