It is late at night, and for some reason, someone decided to break into a bookstore.
Probably because they heard how expensive books are and thought it meant they could steal a lot of money, actually. Valid reason.
However, they did not anticipate a future seer living above the bookstore... and easily knocking them out almost as soon as they got in.
"Sorry man, but I'd rather not wake Laurel," Keiluvi whispers as they hoist the unconscious person over their shoulder and leave, walking through the alleyways to find a good place to deposit the poor soul, where they won't immediately go after the bookstore again.
"Don't worry, they're not dead, only unconscious," is all Keiluvi says while passing Azalel in this journey through the alleys and shadows, completely unphazed by the fallen angel.

Azazel was standing against a wall in an alley, taking a smoke break while someone else manages the customers. Ae looks over at the sound of someone approaching and just stares, cigarette in hand and lips pressed into a thin line as someone just. Drags a body across the floor.
Hearing the person isnāt dead is a relief? Maybe? It at least keeps Azazel out of the trouble of becoming a witness. What should per even feel about this? Should ae run? Confront the person? Completely ignore them? Azazel has seen many things, but with the modern technology, Azazel hasnāt actually been witness to near as many crimes as in the last few centuries.
āā¦.Thank you.. for telling me? What. What are you even doing?ā
"This thief tried to break into my house-slash-work. Hoping that maybe if they're far enough away when they come to, they won't come back."
Keiluvi explains simply, taking a break from dragging the poor guy. Not even out of breath, or even affected, by carrying a whole ass human.
"So how's your night goin'? Hopefully no thiefs?"
they joke.
Azazel just scratches pers head and raises an eyebrow. Ey supposes thatās one way to deal with that? If it works, it works.
āWell, no. Um, people are either too drunk, too depressed, or too preoccupied with finding a one night stand to steal.ā
Azazel glances back out towards the sidewalk then back at the still conscious person, eyeing them up and down.
āI would hope youāre not one I need to worry about?ā
"Good, good."
Keiluvi nods, leaning back against the wall, arms calmly folded.
"Nah, I just wanna go to bed once I'm done with this, honestly. This guy broke in just as I was wrapping up after movie night and was finally tired."
They sigh forlornly, lying seamlessly. They did just want to go to bed, but they'd actually just stayed awake for hours waiting for this one intruder so they could deal with them quickly and get it overwith.
āWell, that would make sense. Is there a reason you didnāt just call the cops?ā
Azazel drops aer cigarette and stamps it out, tilting eir head in the direction of the sidewalk outside the alley.
āAlso, when youāre done with.. that, do you want something before going back? I work at the bar on this street, but we have warm drinks too which works great for getting people drowsy, and I imagine doing all this would be at least a little adrenaline pumping.ā
"The cops take so long to respond, the thief would probably already be gone by the time they arrive... And then there's all the 'now fill out a report and give us info'. It's easier to just handle it myself, really..."
Keiluvi's shoulders slump, sighing.
"Eh, sure, why not? Thanks man, it's appreciated."
āThat is trueā¦. And great, itās the only bar on the street, so Iāll be making drinks already when you⦠finish up.ā
With that, Azazel leaves soundlessly, walking back into the bar and behind the counter to start taking drink orders while waiting for the totally not shady person to come in.
Keiluvi waves goodbye, and hosts the unconscious person up, wandering away.
They end up finding a good place to dump the guy, and in around 20 minutes saunters into the bar in their usual totally-not-suspicious-or-weird, casual way waving hello to Azazel.
Azazel nods in acknowledgment and finishes passing a drink to someone before walking over to the front of the bar to greet Keiluvi.
āDo you need a look at what we have?ā
"Heya! Yes, please, t'would be appreciated."
Keiluvi nods, arms folded and resting on the bar casually.
Azazel walks over near the back of the bar and grabs a drink menu, walking back and handing it to Keiluvi, leaning on the counter after.
āEverything was sorted then?ā
Keiluvi looks over the menu for a few moments before deciding,
"Hm.. I'll have a lemon drop. And it was, yeah; the guy is safely dumped... somewhere, already kinda forgot where."
Azazel smiles as that, a bit amused. Aer grabs the stuff and starts to make the drink.
āWell if it works. You mentioned your place also being your work? What do you do?ā
"Mhm! My mother and I own a bakery, and live above it. Why someone would steal from a bakery, I'm unsure... Prolly just needed food."
Keiluvi explains with a shrug.
āThat, or thought it was an easy target for money.ā
Azazel finishes making the personās drink, setting it down in front of them.
āGood choice with this one, itās personally one of my favorites.ā
"True, true.."
Keiluvi sighs, shoulders slumping. They perk back up when Azazel gives them their drink, nodding in appreciation.
"Thanks! It is pretty good; I prefer the sweeter drinks in general, honestly."
āEh, a lot do. I like more bitter ones, has more of a kick to it. Soo, whatās your name then?ā
"Fair 'nough! I'm Autumn, you?"
They introduce themself while taking a sip of their drink.
A person not too far from Autumn left money on the counter and then got up and left. Azazel walked over and collected it, then took the glass to set down on aer side and wiped down where the person was sitting.
āHa, like the season. Well hi Autumn, Iām Azazel. Nice to meet ya.ā
"Mhm! Nice to meetcha too, Azazel. You have a nice name."
Keiluvi smiles calmly, resting their elbow on the counter, cheek propped on their palm as they casually watch Azazel work.

Laurel walks into the shared apartment, looking anywhere except Keiluvi. He was anxiously fidgeting with his fingers, his wings drawn close to himself, as they were actually out for once.
āIt⦠it would seem I accidentally erased Denmark.ā
Keiluvi pauses whatever they were doing. Well this wasn't foreseen.
They look back at Laurel, visibly confused but also slightly amused.
"elaborate??"
āWell, I had gone out on a stroll, and I decided I wanted to visit another country and pick up a snack before coming back. I was not informed that there was cinnamon in the coffee I ordered, which I suppose the closest explanation I have is that Iām allergic. As good as human food, a handful of it causes what some may call allergic reactions as we arenāt necessarily made to consume human food. Allergic reactions in angels sort of looks like a loss of control in functional ability, and unfortunately, I accidentally got rid of Denmark. There is only ocean now.ā
"Oh- oh dear-"
Keiluvi covers their lower face, unable to stop from snickering even though Laurel is terrifyingly powerful.
"Is there a way to undo that??"
Laurel frowns even more, displeased with being laughed at, and also a bit distressed.
āI donāt know! Iāve never done this on Earth! It doesnāt happen often! Iāve done this in another⦠realm? Plane? Same thing, but that was on purpose and I never needed to put spots back! Iāve also never seen any documentation of how to eitherāā
"Alright, alright... hmm.."
Keiluvi tilts their head, thinking.
"Is there a way to summon Angelsā preferably a way that doesn't involve me getting cut in halfā to ask for help? I can probably go somewhere remote, summon them, and be like 'yo. A country disappeared. This is sorta out of my jurisdiction, so I thought maybe I should see if you guys can handle this'. That way there's less risk of you getting punished."
Laurel sits and stares for a few seconds, thinking. There are ways, but he isnāt sure how reliable any of those ways are if he wants to avoid getting caught.
āWell, thereās a way we can try, but youāre gonna need a good lie as to why you have a divine object that you did not steal from a church, or how you even know how to use it.ā
Keiluvi thinks for a few moments, before suggesting,
"Well... I'm immortal, so depending on how old the thing is, I can say I met an angel a couple thousand years ago and was helpful enough that the thing was given to me?"
āā¦Yeah, thatāll probably work. Youāre not the first we met.ā
Laurel went over to his and rummaged in his closet, coming back with a cross necklace in hand, handing it to Keiluvi.
āJust wear this and ask for assistance, youāll be heard.ā
"Awesome, thanks! I'll be back later!"
Keiluvi takes the necklace, waving goodbye. They go to run out of the building, but stops short in the doorway, looking back at Laurel.
"Heyy.. Quick question, is it possible for you to teleport me? I kinda don't wanna run or fly all the way to the edge of what used to be Denmark, but also it makes more sense for me to ask about a missing country while near said missing country..."
āā¦.Is breathing a requirement for you?ā
"Nah, technically I'm fine without breathing. It's just a bit uncomfortable"
āOh, then sure.ā
Laurel gently grabs Keiluviās wrist, walks downstairs and out the building, and into a small alleyway. Laurel then promptly pulls back the fabric of reality and pulls Keiluvi through, and jesus christ (not literally, heās on vacation) it is super bright and white and also there are clouds everywhere.
āI donāt do this often because thereās a risk Iāll get caught, but I do not have the actual power to teleport, however I have been able to find spots where the mortal plane thins and I can sneak up to the place angels use to get to places quickly. Basically.ā
After walking a bit, Laurel stops in front of a sliver of light that looks like a pole.
āHere is⦠the border of not-Denmark.ā
"Oh wow.. impressive."
Keiluvi blinks rapidly, taking a few moments to adjust their eyes.
"Well, see ya later, for real this time! Thanks for the transport!"
They wave goodbye, going towards the light.
Laurel waves back then quickly turns and leaves, not wanting to stay longer than needed.
Keiluvi goes through the light to stand at the edge of not-Denmark, and hums thoughtfully. They wait a few minutes, looking at the ocean and then at the cross necklace they were given, before putting it on.
"Heyy... Can I get some help? There's a bit of a problem."
They murmur, unsure if the asking needed to be done verbally or just mentally.
A minute or so passes before an archangel appears before Keiluvi. They seem to be about to say something, but stops and looks dumbfounded at the vastness of ocean where land should be. They blink, then whirl around back to Keiluvi, wings outstretched and fuming.
āWho are you?! What did you do?!ā
"I'm Autumn, this was not my fault, no clue who did do this."
Keiluvi raises their hands, shrugging.
"Wanted to go on vacation, but uh... clearly my vacation spot isn't available at the moment. Remembered I have this thing and thought one of you guys could help; it's, ah... more your area of expertise than mine."
āYes, it isā¦. Where did you even get that? Or better yet, how do you even know how to use it or what itās even used for?ā
The archangel turns to look at not-Denmark, but is very suspicious of this Autumn.
"Long story short; I'm immortal, met a couple of Angels over the eras. One of 'em gave me this for if I ever needed aid, since I promised not to just summon Angels whenever or without reason. Went by a different name back then, as you can probably guess, but can't actually remember what my name was back then. I change it every couple decades so Humans don't get suspicious."
Keiluvi explains, looking out at the ocean of no-longer-Denmark, then at the archangel.
The archangel sighs, pinching the bridge of their nose.
āI thought I told [glass harmonica sounds] to not pass those outā¦ā
They shake their head, standing up straight and looking serious. Their wings span out fully behind them as a massive halo circles around their head, and with a wave of their arms, Denmark is back!
"Oooo. Impressive. Thanks man, you're awesome."
Keiluvi gives a thumbs up and a calm smile.
āRight. Enjoy your stay then, for your vacation. Please try to refrain from calling us down.ā
And with that, the archangel leaves.
"Over a thousand years and the only reason t' call you has been a country vanishing, I don't think you have to worry!" ^^
Keiluvi waves goodbye, watching. They wait a few minutes before sighing defeatedly, realizing they're gonna have to make the long trek home...
