I feel like i need to write a new post about my thoughts about Beatbreak's third storyarc because reading back my previous post on it, i was kinda incoherent (prolly because i was exhausted)
So to clarify: Miharu's story could have worked but not like this.
The first problem with her terrorist attacks is that she aimed at absolutly innocent people. My first act of change would be here: she still commits terrorist attacks, but she only, ONLY targets people that are connected to Chairman Wong (or atleast people she thinks are connected to him, therefore we can keep the plot point of Tomoro understanding her but can't support her because for 1. Yes, Miharu i understand you are angry at them but those are still innocent and 2. Cool motive Miharu, still murder)
Then what i previously mentioned is that i'd change Miharu's approach to her sister's suicide. Miharu, still can be obsessed with her sister's death and be mad at Chairman Wong about it, but let's forget the cultish "Digimon are superior to humans, so we must bow to our new overlords" approach. It made no sense at all to get to that conclusion, seeing Miharu's flashback to her sister.
However if Miharu took what i said as her focus (that her sister was an avid believer that "Digimon are not glitches, but humanity's children, therefor we must treat them better and be more lenient with them than normally") that's far more compelling and ACTUALLY relatable to Tomoro - who spend the whole entire first storyline learning this, but he understands that humanity is still not ready for this step and also just because digimon are our children we mustn't be so lenient with them - than that Digimon are essencially our new gods.
Third thing i'd have changed is that due to this ^ tiny detail change: Miharu is far more protective of Mephismon, of whom she now thinks of as if she was her niece, and Mephismon's line would even gain meaning then that "i'm just granting your wish".
Because she behaves just like a well meaning little niece that is just following orders from her "aunt".
Basically forget the whole "Miharu is thinking of her sister's wish only" story element. Miharu is doing all these terrible, but understandable terrorist attacks(delete the whole entire episode where she makes Jokermon attack a FKIN HOSPITAL-> Tomoro's brother) because she got left with a niece, her big sister no longer can take care of.
It'd even mirror her sister's story, how the fact that their parents died left her in a position where she needed to raise Miharu alone and had to sacrifice a lot to raise her. Now that she is dead, Miharu has to sacrifice a lot to "raise" Mephismon, but her version is twisted like this. Where her sister harmed no one, Miharu has harmed others.
Changing a few small details of this storyline makes it far more comprehensible and still complicated enough. Miharu gets more relatable to the audience AND the audience can far more easily believe this way if Tomoro wants to help her, because sure he sees himself in her story but also sees a glimpse of Asuka's story-> therefor his obsession with redeeming Miharu makes more sense.
