It was still dark outside.

The Capital still bathed in the radiancy of the full moon.. with little to no clouds. The crickets still chirped within the abudantly lush fauna that surronded the King's private land.

" ... "

Umbrella was still fast asleep, the breaths they take were as calm and measured they were when they are concious.

They were completely at ease, looking rather soft in their slumber. A stark contrast to how rigid and astute they were awake... one that the common folk would simply not believe that Umbrella was capable of looking like.

But he'd know better.

" mmrph..— "

Umbrella suddenly woke up, feeling like the room has turned up a few degrees hotter. Which was rather.. unusual— it should still be cold, right?

Odd..

" ... "

Umbrella tries to focus their blurry eyes to the alarm clock that sat neatly on the night stand...

4:30 AM

... They really need to replace that clock someday, now that they think about it. They and him keep forgetting to— to which was none of their fault, considering the two's busy schedule.

" ... "

Umbrella tried to turn on their side, to no avail.

There was a familiar weight clinging to their back. And the reason for why at a moment, Umbrella thought they were running a fever.

" ... "

This only caused them to do a small grunt, before calling out in a firm voice, with hints of fatigue plaguing it.

" Firebrand... "

There was even a small dash of a plea in it.

Firebrand huffed softly, his tail curled around the purple horned Inphernal, he yawned before starting to fall back asleep.

"mmnnnoo.."

" ...your highness- cease this and retract yourself from me. "

The plead in Umbrella's tone got more prominent. They barely managed to lift their hand up to wipe some sweat from their forehead, before being squeezed again.

Umbrella managed to turn their head around just abit, just as Firebrand started burrowing into the back of their neck.

" Come on now. "

huff

" You know the schedule. You have to let me go. "

They angled their head to head to give a partial small bump of their horns.. as much as they were able to in this current restricted position.

It seems that not even a Deity was immune to early mornings.

"..m up now.."

Umbrella lets out an audible sigh of relief, as the weight was lifted up.. and the cool was starting rush back to their body.

Now they don't feel like they were a bun baked in a oven.

" Good grief. "

They proclaimed, about to sit up but paused midway through as Firebrand moved a strand of theirs off the face.

" ... That isn't going to make me see any better. "

They squinted- needing their contact lenses.

Although they can't see very well at the moment.. they can tell Firebrand is smiling at them.

Or rather, feel.

"I was moving hair out of your face silly.."

" hhh- "

They grunted again, as they felt a wing plop right on their face.

" — how unprofessional. "

They complained as IF the bedrooom was a place of professionalism in the first place.

Finally, Umbrella sat up, rubbing their tired eyes. The locks fell back over their face once again.. as their dark night-gown shifted.

" Where have I placed my contact lenses again? "

They asked him with an air of casualness, as Umbrella began popping his arms and back.

" .. Im still recollecting. I do not remember at the moment. "

Just a normal day for the two of them.
