This section assesses the student’s ability to express themselves clearly in a written format, articulate ideas on a given topic effectively, and have a complex yet understandable discussion on a given topic. The student must finish writing a passage in English with well-structured arguments in around 30 minutes.

To familiarize themselves with the structure of the GRE exam, students often take GRE mock tests. This is an optimal way to familiarize themselves with the content of each section.
