Miscarriage Due Date

They say when you are pregnant that you're

expecting. We were expecting your arrival today. We were expecting to have a tiny baby to hold and to love. We were expecting to become a bigger family. We were expecting lullabies and sleepless nights, teething and giggles. We were expecting a lifetime. We just weren't expecting your lifetime to be so short. We weren't expecting life to go on without you. We were expecting Robyn being all excited to see her baby sister, but instead you were born in June, with many different health conditions. I wish things were so different and that you could be here. I still cherish the moment I held you and touching your little hands and feet.

Today for the first time I’ll share two of your scan photos (photos of you Skye if your mummy and daddy to see).

Today I’m working and I don’t know if it’s a good or a bad thing, if you see me and I’m looking a mess please appreciate how hard today is for me.

October is pregnancy/infant loss awareness month. 1 in 4 women will experience pregnancy loss. That’s too many. Too many women who have to suffer this heartache. You are seen. Your feelings are valid and how you cope is nobodies business. I’m not ashamed to say I am 1 in 4 anymore. Thankful for the support team I have around me and all the loving people I have had in my life throughout this healing process. It’s okay to be sad and to scream and yell, but it’s also okay to be happy and find joy in life after loss. Loss makes you love harder, love more, love selflessly. Loss teaches you that life is never promised. Loss teaches you anxiety. Loss gives you anxiety. But loss also makes you stronger. It teaches you that you can go on to be okay, to cope. It’s okay to not be okay. Some days are easier than others. Some days a toddler in the store, the age yours should be, smiles at you, and it hits you really hard and you cry all the way home. Grief comes in waves. Better days will come.

It’s National Rainbow Baby Day!

We have went through a lot the last few weeks with so many tests with CSV that confirmed our little baby would not survive the outside world and just a waiting time before we lost. We found out our little baby girl had Down syndrome 21 and club foot and hands. Known I could miscarry at time and being told this at our first scan appointment was hard. The whirlwind of unknown waiting on results for tests to come back, being quiet and crying on and off.

Words can’t describe how heartbroken we are as a family but deeply devastated for Robyn who would of being a big sister and who would loved having a little sister.

I personally could of not done all of this without Steven, honestly you have being my rock, my mum thank you, thanks for taken us to appointments back and forth and waiting outside for us and watching Robyn. My mother Inlaw to be, thanks Linda for watching our Robyn and also to Christina for watching your little niece. We thank our family for all the support and love they have shown us through this difficult time as have a strong family unit and I love you all of the support.

As for the future, we look forward, plan more of our wedding and remember our babies we have lost.
