Three weeks ago today John Lloyd Young deleted his Tumblr account, & last night he deleted his Instagram account... Things just keep getting sadder for those of us who love JLY, & want to show support for him... While I totally agree with JLY’s reasons, I will miss his thoughtful insights & opinions... (yet I still have to put up with Trump being plastered all over the place, it’s just not fair!!!)

One of my very favorite blogs was deactivated yesterday and although I’m not surprised given the magnitude of cyber harassment and assumptions, I’m saddened. I’m saddened that a blog I very much appreciated for the great humor, esoteric and thought provoking content that likely helped thousands of people who were quietly struggling - is now gone. I don’t post under my real name, but he did, and I think it took an enormous amount of courage to spill his thoughts - hope he someday writes a book of poetry to share with the world. 🙏🏻

I agree with every single word you said (except for the part about not posting under your real name because I do use my own actual name) But either way, I can’t even begin to explain how much this upsets me, because I looked forward to reading JLY’s amazing ideas, feelings, & observations, not only because they were so intriguing, & gave me something to look forward to every day but @johnlloydyoungfriends-deactivat,was my true inspiration in life, giving me strength to get through the rough times (& working in the animal rescue line of work I run into rough times on a regular basis, soooo...) I’m extremely angry with anyone out there who may have contributed to things getting to this point, & I will continue to wholeheartedly support John Lloyd Young, but it’s sure gonna be a lot harder without being able to encourage his courageous viewpoints & feelings about life... A VERY SAD DAY INDEED!!!

You have made a very valid point, & not only do I agree with you @johnlloydyoungfriends, I even took the photo I’ve included in this reply (sorry that it’s somewhat difficult to see, but it was dark outside when I passed the yard where this was displayed!) Just because we have an undignified President doesn’t mean that our nation isn’t great! (because it is!) I’m proud to be an American despite Trump, because a country is a reflection of it’s citizens, not it’s leader!

I know this is an extremely stressful time for you, but just remember you can only do as much as you possibly can. Then, give yourself a definite break of at least an hour to two, just to give yourself (brain included) a rest, which everyone needs once one reaches their limit. Remember, you will still be alive tomorrow, the sun will still rise the next day, so its not “A matter of life or death.”
