Thank you for being it for me. Okay God, let’s do this one last time. 1/26/2019 💙😚
It took me a long time to let God show me who I was in Him and how He can use me in the season I was in. This specific picture was taken at my church’s 10th year of POP Rally themed “Invade.” Here in this panel we were talking about the ministries we represent. And let me tell you, never have I ever thought I would be placed, used or even be in a ministry. Don’t get me wrong, if God put placed me where I was meant to be in the background being a prayer warrior, I am more than happy and grateful to be just that. But in this case God had a different idea. I really searched for my ministry within myself. I looked at myself and dug deep. What was I passionate in? My talents? What am I good at and what am I bad at? What needs fixing?
Through all those questions, the ministry I thought was for me was the praise & worship team and/or dance ministry because I did musical theatre in high school and have been dancing for as long as I remember. Unfortunately, there was decline in my spirit and my heart on where I belonged in this ministry. I thought- “I thought I belonged here? I have the talent! Maybe I just need to pray on it. THIS has to be my ministry.”
I thought I belonged there. I liked singing and dancing and so God can use that obviously, right? WRONG! For my personal testimony, God ALWAYS seems to make things harder for me. Everything I have been LONGING for, God makes me go through hell to get to it. Through the looooong storm and calm seasons- I found my ministry. It’s something I never thought I would love. I have always been around it but never had a heart for it. It was something I found annoying throughout my life and tried to stay away from.
Sunday School. This is where I was first introduced to Jesus. Who He was and why he loved me. I hated Sunday school growing up and I really never thought I would teach YOUNGER kids. I always thought of becoming a professor but for me to have the passion, love and eagerness to step forward and teach these kids in an environment which I once hated? I was mind-blown. But GOD! God has different plans.
In my personal walk with Jesus, God always taught me the best lessons & revealed to me the craziest things when I chose to be the “reverse me.” Meaning, what I’d normally do- I should do the opposite. Be bitter bc I didn’t find my ministry? Nah, worship God through it all. Gossip? Nah, encourage and pray about it. Ignore? Nah, stay when you’re offended. All that good stuff. So here, the thing I once was always annoyed at and lowkey hated- it’s one reason why my heart continuously burns for Jesus. Ashamed because it didn’t work out for you? Nah, God is the restorer of time and will always reposition you!
So thank you Jesus, for highlighting the things I never thought i would love like this. Thank you for making things harder than it has to be for me. And thank you for always showing me the benefit of it, even if it may take years.
“Someone once told me that human beings have three dimensions: how you see yourself, how others see you, and how you want others to see you. The closer the distance between the three dimensions, the more at peace you are and the more stable you become.”

welcome to my journey on discovering different coffee shops around me! the warehouse cafe is the first cafe I decided to visit on this coffee shop journey! I posted this one first because (obvi it’s my first coffee shop visit) but to also introduce what I will be posting about. I will be posting about the look of the cafe overall to the menu! If you have any recommendations about what you would like to hear about on my review let me know! Enjoy my coffee shop journey as well as some friends I bring along with me :)
Introduction coffee shop #1: ★★★★★ *five stars!
the warehouse cafe review: this cafe is located at Jersey City, NJ.
Look: Despite a struggle for parking due to construction around it, the cafe is spacious containing chairs and tables located inside and outside of the cafe. Round tables, square and long rectangle tables- you name it! I would say its a perfect spot for studying, doing work, reading or just a chill spot like what I did with me and a couple of friends.
Menu: the warehouse cafe has a BROAD amount of different beverages. Usually when I find a aesthetic looking cafe they usually have 10 and less things of their menu. But this cafe has many different options regarding coffees, espressos, iced drinks, and teas with different flavors ranging from the basic caramel to cinnamon chai to turkish coffee!
Food: they had a few, but unfortunately I didn’t get to try anything since I forgot my card in my car so my friend had to spot me. (oops!) They also have chocolate bars which are overpriced- but I’ll get back to you on the food! (going back to give a more proper review.
Miso Ramen review: located in Jersey City, NJ. ★★★★★
Look: beautiful! lights, color coordination, plants. This ramen place has a long bar table and separate tables to be seated in.
(exterior) outside- they have a little closed road for people to walk around (almost like a little times square) so make sure to park around the corner!
Menu: the menu is pretty straight forward. Containing (if i remember) 12 types of ramen. They also have these buns that I tried for the first time and they were absolutely delicious! (a little spicy for a person who doesn’t like spicy). The noodles of their ramen are handmade and cooked a certain way for 10+ hours and they are honestly one the best ramen noodles I have ever tried.
coffee shop #2 ★✩✩✩✩
happy bones review: located in New York, NY
Look: small, simple, white & grey cafe. There is honestly not so much to say about this coffee shop other than there are a few seats and its just has a super simple look to it. (SMaaaaaLL)
Menu: just like the space, the menu actually smaller (oops). If I remember correctly there is only about 7 items from an iced coffee, to espresso, to hot coffee itself, a latte and... yeah. I would give this place one star. I don’t know if I just expect a lot from my most favored types of coffee shops but customer service wasn’t the best either.
coffee shop #4: ★★★✩✩
9bar cafe review: located in Jersey City, NJ
Look: just by this picture you can tell this is an attractive cafe! Filled with open space, chairs, plants and i didn't capture it but there’s a little place to “park your pup.” so cute!
Menu: this coffee shop also has a small menu but sadly (at least for me) it did not reach the requirements of my taste buds. I got a mocha latte and it barely tasted like mocha and was watery :( sad me.

coffee shop #5: ★★★★★
modcup review: located in Jersey City, NJ
Look: the cafe itself but super small but also clean cut and aesthetically pleasing for you that love the aesthetics! Other than this small corner I am sitting in, there is a two chair table, and two benches to sit on. If you visit this pretty cafe on a pretty day like in this picture there is a small park right across the street looking over jersey city and over that the New York skyline!
Menu: the menu contained basic espresso, latte, and chai items but its DEFINITELY worth the “basic-ness” of the coffee itself. I got a espresso + milk _ chocolate and it was UH-MAZING! The BEST cafe spot regarding its espresso so far!
Happy 21st to me! (06/03) ☀️
