The memories never die or fade away … if tomorrow comes without me…

She merely wanted to blend in, creeping along the crevice etched wall of stones, brick, and mortar…wanting to be unnoticeable… passed over not with malcontent but out of necessity.   No, it wouldn’t be forever for the ones that worried about her just didn’t know what to do with the once soft smiling green-eyed girl, whose eyes were now so dark and so distant …those of an empty soul…vacant, desolate, and not concerned that she had made intense mistakes, for that was expectations 101 and a given. She was facing a part of her life that wasn’t commonplace, but her quiet nature of “everything is fine” was …and if she was going to be on her own the rest of her days…” fine” was not going to work anymore… “fine” was merely going to please the masses.

So, she became real…and when one becomes real, conversations are no longer enjoyable without compliance …because the usual “yes of course” had not yet passed those lips.  Nothing but silence and blood from biting her lip had. If decisions were not going to be made in earnest…then she’d spent one year of her life dying inside, learning absolutely nothing about real life survival…She was not put in this universe, this world, on this planet….to make sure everyone was content, giving shelter from the storm….for somehow when they both played with matches…she was the only one…that got burned.
