Linktober Day 13 - Sheikah

They talk and treat him the same but encourage him to be more playful, let him get excited over small things most consider childish. And stare down anyone who silently or verbally judges him for it.

Rauru is the most boring man that Link knows. He tries to teach Link about hyrulian history and junk and Link just doesn’t care. But, he reminds Link of the Great Deku Tree so even though he’ll fall asleep more often than not, Link never complains when Rauru goes off on whatever tale.

Ruto coos to Link about being her fiance because he doesn’t really know what that means. But if asked when she’s going to marry him she’s like “Ew, he’s much too young for me. Besides my heart belongs to a heroic man named Sheik” to which she winks at Zelda if she happens to be present.

Impa and Saria are the ultimate moms to Link. Like, Saria is the playful and kind mother (forever child, never grows up physically but I refuse to believe they never grow wise). While Impa is like the firm but nurturing mother. As Zelda could attest to.

Darunia is like this is my son Link. And this squishy boy is my son Link of which my other son is named for.

Nabooru is the worst. She’s always encouraging Link’s reckless side. Link is about to jump off a cliff and she stops him only to dare him to back flip off it instead. Nabooru is like, look, if he can save the world, he do whatever he wants. The sages and honestly all the other Gerudo women are like stressed™ about the safty of this boy and his dumb ass decisions all the time.

Sheik tells Malon. She’s too close to Link and keeps making advances because he’s handsome and he’s sweet and charming. But she doesn’t realize he’s mentally a ten year old. And it makes her sad and she has a hard time believing it but they still remain really great friends and he loves helping out on the farm with her.
