Once her laughter fades into sporadic giggling and eventually dies altogether, her smiles softens. She leans against the side of the sentry station and shakes her head. “Not quite.” She is, in fact, only half-angel, but doesn’t want to explain that during a first encounter. (Safer for level 10 friends to unlock her backstory and all that). “But if there is any pain I can take away, I’d be glad to do it.”
While initially worried that she might never see the end of this subterranean labyrinth, she now feels content, more inclined to tarry and explore. Especially if it means spending more time with a skeleton who has appreciated more of her jokes in one minute than humans have in four centuries.
“Something tells me I won’t be finding my way out of this place anytime soon.” And a part of her almost wishes that she DOESN’T. After all, what is up there for her? Her kingdom is destroyed and her family dead. What else can an immortal do but pick up their roots and look for new soil? “So I hope you’re prepared to be stuck with me and my dazzling sense of humor.”
the skeleton can only shake his cranium as he walks around the sentry station to the woman’s side. his hands are in his pockets and he has to tilt his skull back to look all the way up at her. damn his small stature. something seems to gleam within those pinpricks of white.
an uncaring shrug is given to her comment about not finding her way out of the mountain anytime soon. either she would, or she wouldn’t. it was as simple as that. that perpetual smile thins a bit.
