Please read this because it is EXTREMELY important me (a transgender man) and to other trans individuals.
The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.
This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.
Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it'sΒ still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.
To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.
If you are a minor and/or do not feel comfortable doing this, PLEASE repost this on here, or any other platform you are on/can find! This needs to be heard and fought against.

alright so. my name kami comes from an oc i had made years ago. his name was also kami. then my friends at the time started to call me kami instead and i was "woah. i love this im so cool im gonna be kami forever i love it so much".
the kamisama part comes from the same origin. the character was actually kami-san instead but my friend was like "you're so awesome kamisama" to me and would say kamisama instead. and i was like "COOL. IM KAMISAMA NOW. I LOVE MYSELF"
and the entire phrase kamisamabest is basically something happens, i fix it, my friends are in awe and im like "that's because kamisama is the best" and it goes in a loop. eventually i adopted kamisamabest.

i imagine shinya to be a child who was closed up but also easygoing. like he wouldn't immediately seek out social interactions but he wouldn't insta reject them either.
i think he was from a family who wasn't doing so good financially. like it wasn't full-on poverty but they certainly were struggling even a little bit.
i think shinya was loved among his family but in an odd way. like, his family was distant emotionally, but if shinya asked for something they'd help him. emotional neglect basically
βhence why i think he would be closed up emotionally and socially.
i think this way because even when his family was selling him to the hiragi family, they asked them to take care of shinya. maybe it was like, they needed the money and when it came with shinya as the price, they accepted, and comforted themselves by thinking they did the best for him and that he could live a better life with the hiragis.
overall his family wasn't overtly abusive, but emotional neglect is still abuse. shinya witnessed his parents talking about selling him, and in the car he asked if he could see his parents again but he wasn't sobbing or crying after he learned he cannot, because his family wasnt quite there for him from the start.
