So, I learned about Beastars recently and, after seeing the anime opening and some clips, picked up the two translated volumes to check it out. Decided to pace myself so I wouldn't read it all too fast, so I read one chapter the first day... and then the remaining 15 the next XD

Never done Inktober before but I felt like doing some inking as I've not done much before and wanted to try out some of my tablet's features I've not used. So here's a piece for day 1. Or day 2. It works for both prompts and I doubt I'll get another piece done today, so whatever. Yay zombie-goat thing with a bell.
Hopefully I'll get the hang of this inking thing over the course of the event. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to different ink styles, so expecting a lot of experimentation.

If you are going to have a system that either allows people to flag content as NSFW or runs bots to flag NSFW content (since apparently you’re now banning it from the site), do me a favor and at least have the common courtesy to ALERT me (via email or, I don’t know, you damn on-site messaging system!) when one of the posts on my

All four of these art posts were marked in the review as “Contains adult content” and I only knew because I manually scrolled through my art blog after hearing that they’d be banning all adult content (which I did because I previously have had a Pokemon piece flagged as adult content and only found out because I stumbled upon it).
In the history of this art blog, I have only ever posted ONE NSFW image, and that was an artistic nude as part of a figure drawing exercise. I took it down at one point when my OTHER stuff was getting flagged for “adult content” (but humorously NOT that one), and since then, this art blog has been entirely SFW (until this post if 1. you are Tumblr as it contains images of my flagged posts, or 2. you think cursing is NSFW).

@staff, seriously, why isn’t there an automated alert to inform me that my content has been flagged for “Adult Content”? Previously, it was annoying, but now that this content is BANNED, it could become problematic very quickly.
As mentioned in my above rant, I don’t post adult content, at all (not even anything CLOSE to it), and I really shouldn’t have to scroll through the entirety of my art blog on a regular basis just to see if your magical algorithms have mistakenly flagged and hidden my content for no good reason.
If your system requires an action on part of the user in order to properly moderate activity, then you NEED to inform the user of when they need to take action. Moderation actions should NOT be done secretly without informing the user, period. There is no good excuse for lack of informing the user.
I’ve not been planning on leaving this site despite the asinine decision to ban all adult content as it does not directly impact me, but if I continue to have my policy-abiding content BLOCKED WITHOUT NOTICE, I may just have to move somewhere that this kind of nonsense does not happen. And I can’t be the only one.
Seriously, fix your broken site.
Other Places I’m At
I’ll start this by saying I’m not currently planning on shutting down my art blog here (unless I get really pissed off at these falsely flagged posts I keep getting... >_>). It’s completely SFW, so it’s not really in danger of getting deactivated.
However, I do think the ban is asinine and harmful to other artists and creators, so I’m not terribly pleased about it. So, while I will likely still be posting for the near future, that may someday change. Also, I know a lot of people are (understandably) completely ditching the site, and if any of them want to follow me elsewhere, I should inform them of where they can.
DeviantArt - This has long been my primary art hub. I pretty much always have posted things here, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
Twitter - I mainly use this for stream announcements these days (which are rarely art, but they do happen), but I will occasionally post at to it. Perhaps I will do that more in the future now.
FurAffinity - I haven’t used this in ages but a lot of my content fits with the site so I’ve long considered reviving it and might do so soon. If so, I’ll be dumping a ton (something like 260 pieces at last count) of older pieces.

I needed something to draw today, and I was looking at a color palette prompt for inspiration that made me think lizard, which is something I don't think I've really drawn before. In fact, my experience with drawing reptilian creatures in general is rather limited (I pretty much have only drawn dragons before), so I decided to roll with it. I tried to retain as many of the veiled chameleon's features as possible while still making them humanoid. They have a lot of interesting qualities, like their eyes and the way their hands are structured (which I hope I got right, as most pictures don't really have good angles on them). Anyway, I might poke at designs like this some more in the near future. It was an interesting experiment.
Finally got around to finishing up this bit of Aggretsuko fan art I sketched up a bit ago. Quite please with it overall, especially with the wood effect since I’ve never done something like that before.

More Aggretsuko doodles because I need to try to be active in some way. The show's been on the brain a lot since I watched it and is currently my only source of inspiration.

So, Them’s Fightin’ Herds finally has a release date, February 22nd! When I saw that, I decided to play a bit of the most recent beta build since I hadn’t played in a bit, then I got the urge to make some fanart. So have an Oleander!
Took my backpack with me to lunch so that I could sketch the other day, but apparently I had removed all of my normal pencils. Since I still had colored pencils with me, I decided to do something with those, and since I had been planning on sketching Discord for the first time ever, I kept with that plan. Overall happy with it, though there were some rough parts. I fixed it up as best I could though.
I organized TAPE’s Secret Santa this past holliday season! I didn’t participate, but did make a thank-you art for one of our back up artists, Gemini-Shadows!

So, here are two pieces that were made quite some time apart from each other but are thematically related. The first was a Secret Santa gift for @scruffy-scribbles for an event on an old art server back in 2014. The second was for the same user as a gift for running the 2017 Secret Santa event on a different server. The characters are Trouble and Brassy Beat, respectively.
This was a gift for a Secret Santa event on an art server I’m on. It was for @itsjaytimestwo of their crystal pony OC. This was a fun time to work on. I’ve never done a crystal pony effect, so it was interesting to have to figure out what to do with it in my style. Overall, pretty pleased with it, though I have some ideas of how to improve that effect in the future.

Did a little animation test using OpenToonz because I was bored. I don’t think I’ve ever really attempted animation before (at least, not in the sense of a cohesive sequence), so this was entirely new territory for me. I quite appreciate how it came out overall. I may have to dabble a bit more in the future.
Grouped these together because they were all done in the same set-up. Also, MLP or MLP-eque.
Anyway, I caught up on MLP a short while back (after being behind for two season or so), and it inspired me to do some drawings of the characters Ember and Thorax, because they were awesome. Tacked on some expressions to them as well, for reasons.
Also, one of the art servers I’m on had a prompt to draw the mascot, which is a longma that feels very reminiscent of the MLP style, so I did it in the same style and figured I’d throw it in here.
