I never meant to hurt you, I just wished you told me how you felt sooner. You were right, I didn't give us a proper chance and Instead, I got scared and settled. Though I'm trying to come to terms with my decision and trying to make the best of my situation. I cannot help but wonder what could have blossomed between us.

My heart shattered when you told me I broke your heart, I wasn't aware that you cared, I wish knew you felt the same. I'll never forgive myself for the way I handled things, I should have been honest with you, you didn't deserve to find out like that, and now I have to live with the fact that broke your trust. In a way, it was fate that we met at the same spot a year later. I swear when we locked eyes, I knew in my gut that I had made the wrong decision, I knew it was you, I should have chosen you. Even in the middle of a crowd, it felt as if it was just us. There could have been a rapture happening and I wouldn't have noticed, it was just me and you in our own little bubble. How it has always felt.

You might find me crazy but from our first date, I envisioned a future with you. Me, you and little ones, all under one name. A peaceful life somewhere far away from the city chaos. It's taking everything within me to not reach out but I made a promise to write my wrong.

I will forever cherish the memories we shared. When I think back to our dates, they felt so magical, though they were simple, I just remember always gleaming with happiness. My favourite time, in particular, was the concert, It wasn't about who was on stage, or what they were performing. Truly, I just enjoyed being in your arms, gazing into your brown eyes. I couldn't stop smiling and remember thinking to myself "This is the one." Our chemistry was immaculate and all I long for now, is to hear your voice again, I miss the way you'd tell me to "kiss it", I miss how you used to look at me as if I was the most beautiful thing you've ever laid your eyes on. Sometimes Strawberry Swings plays at work and I get goosebumps because it transports me back to the times we'd be blasting Channel Orange and exchanging our favourite Cold Play songs.

I believe with time we would have been the greatest love story. You said you'll wait for me but we both know deep down you'll eventually find someone else. I cannot fault you, you are a wonderful man and any woman would be lucky to have you. I missed my chance and it's something I'll have to live with.
