After hearing about Queen Elizabeth's death, I knew there would be a lot of reactions on the internet. Having a few forms of social media, I was expecting to see memes and even jokes about her passing. What I was not expecting (and maybe I should have?) were the outbursts of celebration, negative words, and outright hate. What surprised me the most was the many famous people, or people with large platforms and amounts of followers, who were posting very negative things about the Queen and her death. Some posts were taken down by the social media sites for breaking their policies on harassment, hate speech, and abusive behavior. I was so surprised because I hoped that people with large platforms would know the possible power their words can contain. By releasing a highly opinionated, negative post to the large number of people who follow them, it can potentially put dangerous thoughts in others' heads, thoughts that don't even belong to them. It is possible to spread hate through their following due to their platform. It is extremely important to watch what you say and do on the internet, especially when it comes to large platforms and easily spread (false) information.

Intersectionality is a word that is important to use correctly. As with many words, many don't truly understand the meaning but just stand with it or against it. Using it incorrectly can cause negative outcomes.
