Also I headcanon Neuvillette causes the rain when he’s not just sad, like when he’s happy the rain can be light, when he’s angry the rain can be strong. It really depends on his emotional well being.

So here is my gift to the small Zhonglette/Neuvili army.

I have a whole document dedicated to Zhonglette and I will share it with you all. If any of you use these ideas in any way don’t be afraid to tell me! Would love to see it.

Well I don’t know if it’s a rarepair or not but I don’t see it as much so it’s a rarepair in my book! Next up is Hu Tao x Furina so stay tuned. Afterwards is more common ships I really like.

Who’s the top/bottom?

They switch, but most of the time it’s Wriothesley who’s the top. But Childe is a power bottom.

Who’s taller?

Cute Nicknames.

Wrio: Pup, beloved.

Childe: Wolf boy, love, beloved.

Feel like they’re basic with the nicknames.

Favorite kissing places.

Wrio: Neck, forehead, cheek, collarbone.

Childe: On Wriothesley’s scars, anywhere there is a scar, it’s getting a kiss.

Favorite sleeping position.

Childe with his back against Wrio’s front while Wrio has his arms securely around his waist. This is something that has grown into a habit even after Childe was set free. When Childe was imprisoned, Wrio secretly had escorted Childe to his office for cuddles or a safe place for Childe away from the other inmates. Even after the whole event they still sleep like this.

Favorite resting position?

Wriothesley with his head buried in Childe’s lap. Mostly after a long day of work, sometimes Childe will get on his desk and Wrio just slumps his head down in his lap. Childe often plays with his hair and looks at the Duke with fondness.

Favorite activities together.

Fighting. Childe declares Wriothesley a worthy opponent and they often train together, it typically ends in a flirting match or a make out session though.

Who do they go on double dates with?

Navia and Clorinde is their usual first option.

Zhongli and Neuvillette are more chill but if they are also an option for more quiet outings with Sigewinne as a tag along:

Do they want kids?

Wriothesley has joint custody of Sigewinne, does that count?

Okay but seriously, I could see them adopting a kid or just being child free. They’d be the cool uncles. Maybe if they were to deeply discuss it then they would want kids.

Additional Headcanons.

1. Wrio used to have a crush on Neuvi and Childe used to have a crush on Zhongli. They both got heartbroken once they found out the two were in a relationship.

2. The two really started bonded during Childe’s stay in the Fortress.

3. Childe always writes Wrio letters, no matter where he is.

4. Childe didn’t introduce Wrio to any of the Harbingers, I feel like he wouldn’t want Wrio around them. Maybe he would introduce him to Columbina, Sandrome and Arleechino.

5. They didn’t expect their relationship to grow into what it is.

6. Childe’s siblings LOVE Wrio. Wrio adores them too and has a soft spot for them.

Note this is for the Zhonglette dynamic.

Who’s the top/bottom?

Zhongli tops most of the time. Neuvillette likes not being in control and willingly submits to Zhongli with no hesitation. However, they may switch every once in a while if Zhongli wants to be pampered/taken care of.

Who is the taller one?

People assume it’s Neuvillette, however it only looks that way because he wears boots with a heel. I actually headcanon Zhongli is a taller by a few inches, and when he switched to Rex Lapis he grows taller. With the heels Neuvillette is the same height as him.

Also Neuvi is tall, just surrounded by taller people lol.

Favorite kissing places?

Zhongli: Anywhere he can get his lips on.

Neuvillette: Anywhere he can get his lips on.

Zhongli: Gem, Gemstone, darling, dear, precious, love, treasure, beloved. Anything that comes out of his mouth really.

Neuvillette: Dear, darling, precious, beloved. Isn’t huge on nicknames like Zhongli is.

Who gets spoiled more?

Zhongli, Neuvillette is not ashamed to admit that he willingly lets Zhongli do whatever and even gives the consultant money when he swears he doesn’t have it. He actually likes being Zhongli’s personal bank and taking care of him.

BUT Zhongli does use his own mora that he swears he doesn’t have and spoils his dragon in turn. (Literally, the amount of courting gifts he sent Neuvi needs to be studied.)

Favorite sleeping position?

Zhongli wraps his arms around Neuvi’s body and pulls him very close, he likes having the younger dragon close by and knowing he’s safe. Neuvi feels very safe, loved and protected in the arms of his mate and he falls asleep really easy.

Another position is Neuvillette is a little higher on the bed and has one arm wrapped around Zhongli while the other hand is stroking his hair. Zhongli will have his arms around Neuvi’s waist and having already fallen asleep by the judge’s mere presence. Like Neuvi, Zhongli feels very loved and cherished and knows he has nothing to fear.

Favorite resting position?

Neuvillette will climb into Zhongli’s lap as if he’s his personal chair or Zhongli will pull him into his lap himself. Neuvillette likes listening to his heart as Zhongli lazily messes with his hair.

Do they want kids?

In the future yes, I can see them with two or three kids but since their dragons the number is unpredictable. Also Neuvi is the pregnant one. (He can be considered the original God of Life, and we don’t question dragon anatomy.)

Additional headcanons.

1. Zhongli can be considered the more dominant dragon while Neuvi is more submissive. But Neuvi does insert dominance if he needs to.

2. Neuvillette likes wearing any outfit/accessory Zhongli gifts him.

3. No one knows about their relationship, an outsider assumes they have bad blood between them. Which was true once upon a time.

4. Zhongli knows Neuvillette’s first name but doesn’t tell a soul.

5. Venti calls them enemies to lovers which is in a way true.

6. Neuvillette most likely forgot about the whole trial thing OR he came to a verdict. This will be further explained in a different post as this is something I will tackle in my fanfic sometime in the future.

7. After some time, Neuvillette decided to work to be allies with Venti. That quickly turned into a friendship. Zhongli is glad to see his lover and best friend dropped tensions and be friends. (Venti calls Neuvi ‘Droplet’ and Neuvi calls Venti ‘Vánt.’)

Neuvillette knows Zhongli is possessive and welcome it with open arms. He finds that he actually deeply enjoys when the all powerful Geo Archon treats him as if he is the most rarest gem in the treasure chest.

Maybe Zhongli thought Neuvillette wasn’t the possessive type at first UNTILL he began saying stuff in his sleep like “my Zhongli,” “my Morax,” “my Rex Lapis,” or something along those lines. And Zhongli teased him relentlessly for it and began noticing the subtle signs of a possessive Neuvilette and decided that he loves it. The all mighty Chief Justice claiming this Liyua man as his and his only? How interesting!

But I feel like they’re pretty equal because they are dragons, one is just more open with it then the other. Now of course they both aren’t the overly jealous types, however at the end of the day dragons are protective of their treasures.

In conclusion. Don’t take them away from each other, they are exactly where they want to be.

-Liyuans adore him and even call him ‘宝石 (bǎoshí)’ which I just learned means ‘beautiful sea.’

-The gold ring in his eyes came after mating with Rex Lapis, kind of showing that they are bonded by soul now. Rex Lapis will also have a blue ring in his eyes.

And in turn Neuvillette is more than willing to listen to Zhongli talk about random topics. Like tea, mora, rocks, anything that comes out of Zhongli’s mouth really. Neuvillette will ask many follow up questions as I imagine he falls into the topic rather fast and might not know a lot about whatever Zhongli is talking about. And Zhongli happily answers in VERY descriptive words.

Zhongli totally didn’t do a very dramatic fall on purpose

I am cooking up some Zhonglette art but it took an embarrassing amount of time to sketch out outfits 😭 Here’s a W.I.P🤺

And ever since the first time Neuvillette took control they agreed to switch every once in awhile because Zhongli is a brat and wants to be dominated by his Iudex.

I feel like Neuvillette and Xie Lian would be besties (or well at least close friends) Neuvi meets him after the whole Wu Ming thing and they’ve been close ever since.

Zhongli I could see getting along with Ling Wen the most.. idk I feel like he’d have the most respect for her even though he respects all of the heavenly officials.

Zhongli and Neuvillette are old gods, however their ‘real’ god titles are a mystery to even Jun Wu. They call themselves the God of Contracts and the God of Justice but any records of them have been destroyed.

I am still debating whether Neuvi should be blind or mute due to cursed shackles.. but that’s a still on going debate between me, myself and I.

Jun Wu probably having some weird obsession over them because they are so mysterious, the more you know about those two the less you know.

Feel like Hua Cheng would respect Zhongli and Neuvillette but doesn’t fully trust them because of how mysterious they are. Same with He Xuan.

I feel like some heavenly officials would lowkey judge Neuvillette because of his white hair + indications of blue hair and his eyes are very unique. They would probably fanboy/fangirl over Zhongli because who wouldn’t?

And yes Zhongli and Neuvillette have been married for a very very long time.
