Sutton gritted their teeth, trying hard to contain their annoyance as the customer complained yet again about the lack of his fandom being available for purchase. The man came in almost everywhere, asking about the same things that they never carried. âSir, I get it. But like I said before, that show was cancelled years ago. Iâm sorry that we donât carry much for it. There isnât much made anymore. Now if youâll kindly excuse me, I have other customers.â With as polite of a smile as she could, she turned away and reminded herself of all the lessons she had on being a proper young lady when she was young. The older she got though, the harder it was to remember them and act accordingly. âIâm sorry for your wait, how can I help you?â She tried not to sound too annoyed as she greeted the other customer.

âI tried after the first time that guy came in. But space cowboy smugglers. I have no idea. It didnât tickle my fancy. I donât get the obsession.â They rolled their eyes, setting the game by the register as the other looked around. âDonât get a second job. Itâs never worth the stress. I did it before, wanted to die. The little bit of extra money that I made didnât cover the amount of stress two jobs puts you under. Why do you need to grow up exactly?â
âDude, trust me. The show is great, like Iâm not a super die hard browncoat but I was one of those people that kept wishing they rebooted it.â Kai responded. âAnd, I might have had a replica of Jayneâs hat.â The manâs eyes shifted as he looked sheepish. âWell, my mom started cutting me off.â Kai pouted, yes he was in his thirties but his mother had always bailed him out, because he was terrible with money. The moment he got his paycheck he tended to spend it before budgeting. âI dunno, something I keep hearing from different people. I just assumed it was time.â
