”fandom is supposed to be fun” but Black and POC fans don’t get the luxury of feeling safe and having fun because of stuff like this.

Even if you don’t have the emotional bandwidth to fully engage with everything that’s happening, at least don’t speak over the Black and POC fans who are affected.

Its genuinely insane to me how white fandom will bend over backwards to excuse, justify or deny racism and the frustrations of fans of color, like they'll find a handful of poc that don't have an issue with whatever is going on and they'll be validated enough to continue thinking its not a problem, they'll accept apologies not meant for them and get upset when others dont, they'll publicly announce how they forgive white creators like their making a stand against something, and blanket all criticism and fans of color speaking up as hate, bullying, harssment and bad faith. I thought fandom was supposed to be fun and inclusive, i thought we were supposed to be critical of what we consumed? How come fans of color can never truly escape from reality in fandom and media?

Pride Batter!

Lesbian Batter was originally the one I was gonna make, but then I thought, "Wait, what if I did other labels?" And so I did. Sorry if any of the ones here aren't the ones you go with, these are just the ones I thought of for right now. I haven't drawn my version of Batter since last year! I still think about his queerness today.
