At one point tf!Zam talks to Ross about her name and says it means “royal son”, but she’s not either of those. was she named before she was born? Or is it like a mean nickname?
The Stella language is nothing like English, so these translations are rough but yeah. The essential most surface level translation is that. Masculine term for someone young and royal. PrinceZam. It’s extremely similar to how Hiccup from how to train your dragon had the name Hiccup. Just an ironic slap in the face.

I’m gonna info dump about my flight character now and my crystal from Mars…
My Martian Crystal… The crystal from my suit produces an element known as Basarium. Stellas need it in order to survive off planet. Mars is abundant in them so it’s not really something to worry about unless of course, you’re on another planet. Direct contact isn’t needed, and inserting these crystals into my goopy bloodstream would kill me.
Sniff asked me about Agriculture on Mars. I’m not exactly sure what grows there, but I typically ate rocks and gems. All kinds of rocks. That was like, the main food source along with livestock that I didn’t really bat an eye at eating, but it was rare to get and expensive anyway. Stuff never really grew like that, at least not where I was.
My organs and anatomy are quite similar to a humans apart from a few exceptions. I don’t have Lungs, or a sense of smell really. My blood is pink and goopy and is pumped by a “Glo-art.”
back on Mars, every marriage between Stellas was typically loveless and always for nothing but power gain. My characters parents never even really cared for each other. Having “Stars In Your Eyes” was a common saying kind of like butterflies in your stomach, but wasn’t ever used between Stellas often. The concept of a relationship just for fun didn’t exist amongst our culture, or at least just to me.

Tf zam is such a good characterization of an abuse victim imo... she shows that even with a support system, with people who love her and want to help, she still struggles. She has ups and downs and she struggles with her trauma and i really like that. Thank you princezam for making the best character ever

Zam's story has so much to do with misogyny from her family and thats so important to me. Her parents were disappointed they didn't have a son and her being a woman stopped her father from becoming king, she's not the "strong son" they wanted, she's a woman. There's also the fact her name translates to "princezam" from stella, showing that her parents likely gave her a masculine name BECAUSE they wanted and expected a son. She was seen as weak no matter what, a common thing that women experience. Imo, i dont think it would matter if she WAS "strong", she is still a woman and that caused her father to not become king.
Tldr: tf!zam's story involves a lot of misogyny from her parents
