a. Luke is irritated Din is a little beat up. He went somewhere without telling Luke and now Luke is examining or healing the bruise on his face.

Or b. Luke is getting a good look at Din's beard and is jealous about not being able to grow a beard. and Luke can't believe that Din’s beard looks so good on him.
