Katerina Kennedy

I chose 1 name and started using different fonts. This was only 1 if the names I chose to experiment with. I drew three different logos. I used the red panda as one, a fortune cookie and noodles. I chose the noodles and played around with it. I brought my design into illustrator and printed it in colour and in black and white. To make the logo I was given a shape and colour to use. I got a turquoise rhombus. This us shown in the last two pictures which part of a separate brief.

This is the research and thumbnails of my given cuisine. I got a Chinese restaurant. I looked at exotic foods and animals and Chinese traditions.

The second picture is of a handmade fan I bought on my holiday to Dubrovnik, Croatia 🇭🇷 last year. I went on a three island cruise 🏝 around the coast of Dubrovnik for a day. One of the islands I went to was Lopud where I bought this fan. I 💕 fans but they are very delicate and I try to keep them from breaking.

The second picture is of hand sanitizer and a fabric mask 😷. I wanted to take a picture of our new normal which may last months. I thought I should post a picture of these because of the time we are in and why all of us are in lockdown 🔒

The second picture is a close up of the make up I use daily. My make up is very natural with just the basics. I ❤ the moisturiser. It's my favourite skin care product. I also love the lipstick 💄.

The second picture is of my nail polish bottle in fake diamonds. I 🖤 nail polish. I paint my nails every two days. I have over 💯 nail polish bottles and have a wall dedicated to my nail polish. This nail polish bottle is the China Glaze x Sesame Street Collaboration. The colour is called 'Dat Colour Dough' 💙

 used the bourbon creams just because they make a good snack. I used the catchphrase ‘blackpink in your area’ becasue when i was working on this assignment i listended to lot of Blackpink songs. I also used ‘Mamamoo gogobebe’ because its one of my fave songs to listen to .

For the second alphabet i used Bourbon biscuits, I placed them onto a piece of tissue and made letters. I took the photo and brought it into photoshop to clean up the image and brought it illustrator and traced it. I put a filter over the picture and used it for the alphabet.

Weekly Wednesday Brief This is my finished mood board. I chose these pictures for my mood board because I feel these pictures best represent Nirvanas sound. I found these pictures from Pinterest. I wanted to go with a night time neon theme to represent the grunge and rock music aspect of the music.I decided to focus on a darker shaded of blue instead of the lighter blue used in the original album. I looked at distorted images based on the distortion used in the music itself. I decided to go for a woman floating in water instead of a baby to represent the word ‘Nirvana’. This means escaping pain and feeling freedom and peace. The woman floating in water would represent peace and the beauty of it. I want to keep the water theme to link back to the original album cover. I looked at the anime aesthetic to get inspired with colours. This picture at the very bottom on the right is from the movie ‘Kimi No Nawa’ or ‘your name’ in English. I decided to look at this movie based on the animation and scenery throughout the film with scenes that are aestheticly pleasing to look at. This inspired me to use purple with the different blues.

Elephant

These were the fonts i liked. I want to put two fonts because the original album cover had two different fonts. 

This is the first colour palette that i made. I have to break down the colours i don’t want. There is obviously a huge variety of colours to choose from.

I really liked the distorted photography and want to use it in the album cover. I photoshopped these two pictures to match the blue theme. Green and red have also been added to the theme. 💚❤️

I took another look at the city pictures and found a few more with colours other  than blue or navy. This time i have pink and yellow added on to my colour palette.
