a whole year being your husband. a whole year since we snuck off in bali and didn’t tell anyone, a whole year of creating this perfect life we live. who would have thought that day a year ago we’d be in our dream home with our dogs and our daughter and i’d still be telling you we can’t have a pet snake or rat and settling on potentially a spider (im still undecided don’t quote me on this). i fucking love doing life with you, every single day you make me happier and happier and i’ll never know how i got so lucky as to fall in love with my best friend. a year and a half since you slid into my dm’s with promise of a tiktok but forgetting to actually send the tiktok. a year and a few months since we went through hell and back but it got us here. thank you for treating me how i never thought i’d be treated, for taking care of my heart and for being so gentle and attentive and never invalidating me. thank you for being the best mom, nova is so fucking lucky even if she shows her thanks by taking fistfuls of your hair she does it affectionately and really she’s learnt from the best she’s seen how you react to curls and thought hmm yeah i can do that. im sorry i can’t be home with you today, i can’t wait to be back with all my girls i’m the luckiest man alive. i love you so much alex zucker thank you for loving me back. endlessly.
