Summary-No one steals from your little sister, especially the annoying, yet very attractive, Harry Hook.
Today was the busiest it had ever been in your grandmotherâs salon, Curl Up & Dye. Though it meant great business, it also meant a lot of work needed to be done to close up. You kept sweeping up the bundles of tangled hair scattered on the ground, scooping it into a dust pan and storing it for later to create wigs out of. To save money, as your grandmother put it.
Peering over your shoulder, you watched as your little sister danced around to whatever soundtrack she managed to dig up, her colorful pigs tails bouncing in time to the beat in her headphones, as well as the duster in her hand. You smiled at her, admiring her playful personality, one you wished you had.
The Isle worked under a strict, cut-throat system: there was those who terrorized, and then those you were terrorized. You learned quickly how to ensure your survival, mostly by hiding in the walls of your house, but you knew how to defend yourself if need be. But when it came to Dizzy, she was your number one priority. Although she had come in contact with some of the horrors the Isle had to offer, she was still quite young to fully understand what life on the Isle was really like. But you made sure to protect your little sister, no matter who or what tried to harm her.Â
She was the only person that mattered.
It was late when everything was done. You had packed up the brooms and dusters into their correct spots and proceeded to collect the other items in need to be put in their proper locations. Your cleaning stopped, however, upon hearing the plastic drapes being opened and the all too familiar accented voice soon after.
âAlright, ya little runt, hand it all over.â
Harry.
You rolled your eyes from your hiding spot within the linen closet, soon fixing them on the tall frame leaning against the counter by an annoyed Dizzy.
His traditional attire fit him well, the red leather of his coat correlating with his tan complexion, along with his hat that covered his dark hair. He was preoccupied with his hook, waiting for Dizzy to follow his instructions and give him what he came for. Dizzy seemed irritated with the new intruder, but proceeded without question to open the cash register and pull out all her hard earned money.
Over my dead body, you thought.
Before Dizzy gave the money over, you had snatched it from her hand, resuming it to its place in the register.
âDo ya mind?â you heard Harry seethe at you as you kept on with your task. By now, he had turned his body over, gripping the counter to maintain his balance.Â
Dizzy looked between you and the raving pirate, her expression one of worry. You nodded at her, assuring her everything would be fine.
âHey!â You looked up, eyes piercing into his bright blue ones, now glazed over with anger. âI believe I asked ya a question.â
Tilting your head, you spoke, âYes, and I believe I ignored it.â
If you thought Harry was angry before, he was fuming at this point. His jaw clenched, making the veins of his neck stick out. The sleeveless coat allowed his muscles to tense up in his frustration, fingers curling around the end of the counter, and his hook scratching into the surface of it. His breaths became shallow and low, almost husky, trying to regain his previous persona, but it was long gone once you spoke. After a brief moment, he took a large exhale and began to chuckle to hims elf, and straightened his posture to his full height. He smirked, and then beamed a full smile down at you. Yours gazes met intensely, challenging each other. Daring the other to blink first. He broke the trance first, though, letting his eyes wonder down your frame and back up. Blue irises, now holding mischief within them, flickered between your E/C eyes, and then your lips.
âYa didnât tell me you had a sister, runt,â he grinned, still looking at you rather then addressing your sister. You held your arm out to Dizzy, keeping her behind you as her human shield. Harry only laughed at this. âSheâs very protective of ya, ainât she?â
âY-Y/N,â Dizzy stuttered, holding onto your arm tighter, as if youâd disappear.
âY/N? Huh, well isnât that a pretty little name.â
âWhat do you want?â You asked him, allowing your annoyance to escape through your voice. âIâve got stuff to do and Iâd rather not have to deal with anymore delinquents in my store.â
Harry fingered his hook, either to scare you, or impress you, but it got neither reaction out of you. It just made you more annoyed. He continued to smile, and leaned down on his forearms. âWell, I was âbout to collect me some money from this here half-pint, until a certain H/C girl stopped me from doing so.â His hook grazed along your said H/C hair, following it as each strand fell from the curve of his weapon, almost mesmerized by it.
You jolted him back, snatching his wrist and pinning it to the counter.
âDonât call my sister a half-pint, or a runt, and donât ever touch me again. Got it.â
He nodded his head, and smiled. âAs you wish.â
He bit his lip, hard. You watched as the pink flesh began swell slightly from the pinch, now turning red and flushed. The scene seemed so inappropriate to you, and yet so erotic at the same time. You bit your tongue to prevent the vulgar thoughts circling your mind about his red lips. How plump they looked. How he swept his tongue along them. How they would feel against yours if you just-
âY/N,â you heard him coo, bringing you back to reality. âCan you release me now? Please?â
You shivered at the way he spoke, reciting please like a question, yet as a plea against it as well. The skin touching his felt hit now, as did the atmosphere around you. It made you light headed.Â
Letting him go, you watched as Harry rubbed it with his other hand, his wrist now red from your firm hold on it. He caressed it delicately, eyeing you as he did. He grinned once more, making his way towards the painted drapes of the salon. âUntil next time.â
With a final turn, he slid his arm across the counter, knocking off every object to the ground with a thump or crash. Chuckling once more, he pushed through the entrance and was gone.
You lingered at the entrance longer than you had anticipated, studying the way the drapes fluttered still in reaction to the body that just departed through them. You looked down at your hand, remembering the weird burning sensation you felt when touching his skin. while you were busy staring aimlessly at your hand, Dizzy had already gone to the closet to get a broom and dust pan, and began to sweep up the broken items on the ground.
You took the cleaning materials from here, and kissed the top of her head, and shooed her upstairs to get some sleep. She obeyed, soon leaving you alone with the the broom, dust pan, shards of glass.
And your wayfaring thoughts of a particularly annoying pirate.
