Say we met once, by a river or something. Say our paths collided, and we found ourselves gazing into each other's eyes, All of us. Would you feel hatred? Would you not be able to look upon the unbearable, unspeakable presence once found in your life... Would you brag of how much better things are now? Of how you don't miss it all and have nothing to prove. Alas, a curtain of glass, I fear. Maturity is not defined by how you use it in your conversation- But where you apply it. So perhaps, rather than trying to tackle the magnificent tempests we created, We would surf the crescent of the wave and let it pass beneath us. Simply allow the current to take us onwards, into the abyss- Which somehow, isn't a black hole, But a supernova. An outward never-ending explosion of opportunities... ...and moments yet to be imprinted in time on photographic film. Perhaps we would let the dead bury the dead. That is what I intend to do, The next time our bearings collide.
