Don’t take it personally, Churchill, I’ve just got a good sense of humor. Oh yeah, that. That was a pretty wild ride, but now I’ve returned to my one true love: Quidditch. Any chance you’ll be at Hufflepuff vs. Gryffindor tomorrow?

Ah yes, Quidditch. And uh... Yeah, I was totally there. It was so... Good and stuff. You played so well with the balls and the goals and the winning....?

She and Jason certainly struggle with sitting still a lot more than I do, so no arguments there. Or at least they always did; I suppose now they’re adults who can sit still perfectly fine when the occasion calls for it. That makes you sound like you should be part of a deck of cards when you put it that way, Ali. It’s okay, really; you don’t need to apologize for having a bad day or three or thirty. I just hope you didn’t mean those things, although if you did, I couldn’t blame you. I’m sure I didn’t stay as calm and collected as I should have, so I’m sorry if I said anything hurtful back.

I still haven’t seen Jules be able to sit still that much but that’s because I think she’s always been an eager beaver for adventure. Granted I haven’t really seen her around the castle, so. I do need to apologize because I really shouldn’t have been such a dick to you. I didn’t mean them. Honestly, you mean a lot to me and I just... I really am sorry. I hope you can forgive me, Beccaw. You had every right to retaliate so there’s nothing to be sorry for.

I’ve been alright, better than when we last hung out. What about you? If you haven’t been piled under a mountain of work or something I’m gonna assume you’ve been avoiding me, you basically disappeared!

Nothing she said was bad, promise. I was just being a git. 

You know what Hot Stuff--You can keep your sass. But yeah, I don’t think your mum would like it too much. 

That sounds like a funny prank but I know my mother would flip if I ever did that. 

I highly advise to not do it. 

It’s that mixed with picking your audience as the main reason that I never tell jokes. If it’s any consolation, everyone who isn’t your mother would’ve probably laughed.

I promise you that I will never use that line on anyone while you are in the same vicinity so you won’t have to run away from secondhand embarrassment. 

Alice this is awesome! New found respect for you honestly. But hey, I’ll take the advice too, so I won’t have to deal with Momma Weasley freaking out like your Mum did. I don’t think it’d go over well with anyone from the uh- older generation.

She freaked out, called my brother and made him go looking for me. The poor dear.

In retrospect, I don’t know that I’ve ever been grounded. That would mean just leaving me alone in my room with books; I’d enjoy it entirely too much. You weren’t. I mean, maybe a teeny tiny bit, but you were upset about things, and I’ve been told I should be less sensitive, so it’s not a problem. I just hope you’re feeling better now.

....Why am I not surprised in the slightest, miss? Jules would have done more for a grounding, that poor girl can’t sit still for five minutes. Exactly, I was definitely an ass of jacks. Or at least that’s apparently what I called it when I was little, so. Either way... I’m really sorry and I hope you can forgive me. Also, you being sensitive isn’t a bad thing.

Nah, it still sounds pretty hilarious, if you ask me. I’m sure your mom’s tough enough to handle five minutes of thinking you forgot her phone number, right?

She made my brother call my phone and make sure it was actually me. Poor thing. Clearly I need to just joke about... Whatever soaps she’s watching. Who knows. 

Actually, if my mum ever texts me again, that’s exactly what I plan on saying to her, but I understand there are different circumstances here. At least you’re well beyond the age where she could reasonably ground you for that kind of thing!

Yeah, I don’t think she’s going to ground me. Especially after I talked my way out of my last grounding... When I was twelve. Hey... I just... I wanted to say that I know I’ve been off in my own little world but--I’ve missed you, Beccaw. Sorry for being an utter asshole.
