This is not my normal post but there's an account here on Tumblr that would scam you by messaging that they falsely reported your account for fraudulent activity. I understand this can scare you but this is fake. Here are some of the signs I saw that helped me recognize this that could help you as well! (Excuse my English, it isn't my first language)

1. The account has very few activity.

After their message, I checked their account and saw very few reblogs and just 1 following. They claim to have "recovered" their account after they got scammed as well but why is it empty? If your account is like this, no shame but this does raise suspicion.

2. Tumblr Support is in the app not outside the platform

The user asked me to befriend someone on discord to "revoke" their report. As I've stated, Tumblr doesn't do that. (Disregard my reply to their message I wanted them to believe I was worried haha)

3. Tumblr Support does not ask for personal details.

Don't do what I did, but I did befriend the user supportumblrhelp on discord just to see how it goes. They first asked for my birthdate and country. I provided false ones and then they asked for my name, gender, age, EMAIL CONNECTED TO MY TUMBLR ACCOUNT, and country. Again, this is just a MAJOR red flag. DO NOT provide them anything. I immediately blocked and reported their account and it seems like Discord flagged them down immediately 😂
