I would like to see more child-free-by-choice and ace/aro solidarity. Like if you just substitute "romantic relationship" or "sex" with "kids" the conversations are pretty much the same. In all cases, people assume you should want x, are only having a phase or pretending to not want x, your life will never be complete until you have x, and that something is wrong with you if you genuinely aren't interested in x. Also, we get all the same annoying family dinner comments.
"So when can we expect grandkids/In-laws?"
"You say you don't want it now, but trust me that'll change."
"Who's going to take care of you when you're older?"
This is so freaking true. Lucky my family is supportive of my choices.
Controversial opinion: I think if you want to sterilize yourself, you should be able to without any requirements. No one should have to have kids, be married, or be above a certain age. True autonomy is impossible to acheive without realizing this.
There is no desire that I understand less than the desire to be a mother. I've tried to understand, but I can't. I don't understand how you can desire to be pregnant, to feel a human being grow up in your womb, making you throw up, making you unable to move like you want and kicking you. I don't understand how you can wish to spend your life taking care of a child, who needs you to be present all the time, who relies on you for everything. I don't understand how you can want something so stressful, exhausting, annoying, boring, who leaves you with no freedom and time for yourself. And don't tell me that if you do things well you can still have freedom and time for yourself and live a fulfilling life ; because no matter what you do, no matter how much your husband takes care of the kids too, no matter how much your friends and family help you, at the end of the day your life still revolves around the kids. Your life still aren't yours anymore. And I just can't understand how anyone can desire that.

Well I mean yeah. It's true that just because they're unplanned doesn't mean they're unloved. But like I said, I have my reasons to not enjoy that scenario and to feel uncomfortable about it. If you do then go ahead, I won't stop you. Also we don't know for sure that troll eggs happen out of love in canon, but if they can't prevent eggs then it's an other story

Yeah, well, personally I REALLY am not a fan of the idea for various reasons but if anyone likes it I'll leave them to it lol I'm not gonna tell anyone what to like! It's just something I personally am not comfortable with.
Around fellow fans, I got to agree to disagree sometimes! I accept that I'm in a fandom here that isn't often on the same page as me on some subjects. I have to not take that personally, even though it's hard not to when I'm so invested in the characters and their relationships.
