my entire body just went out of wack

Vanya half expects her to pull out a weapon. It’s not a pleasant surprise, but it’s definitely a surprise—whoever gave her this information was quite giving. Either that or whoever made this book had been an ally and not an enemy. They aren’t quite ready to trust her, whoever she is, so they fold their arms across their chest.

“That information is very outdated. Your informant mentioned in there is dead.” The signet ring even seems to carry weight to this day. It’s a surprise that the now dead shifter shared it—they weren’t usually one to out their old unit. “Before I share any more with you, you could start with a name.” Names carry weight. If she’s a cultist then there’s a good chance they’ll know her name—unless she lies about it, of course.  

“ to be fair, the guy who wrote the damn thing is dead too. “ her granddad, how long was it at this point? she could barely remember, all she had was his writing which she’s basically all but erased at this point. “ or well, i rewrote half of it and i’m still alive, so. “ pappy put together a fine well of information but god damn was it all nonsense half the time. asking the weird fucks you’re investigating what exactly they can do works a lot better than killing them and finding out by guess work.

   mei doesn’t have to be asked twice, even though she was a little irritated STILL at the way doc reacted last time they shared a smooch, and HOPS over to give her that long overdue KISS!

doc smiles as she sees mei literally hopping at her, catching her mid hop by her legs and carrying her which in the past would have probably caused her arms to rip out of their sockets but doc’s been getting strong as hell lately. as soon as she does, her lips push softly into mei’s, letting out a noise that sounds like she just ate a good meal before pulling back.
