No Idea What To Call This

I’m using the “tea” hashtags for this one. If they can use our hashtags to spread vitriol and lies, we can use theirs to show people Seán’s true character!

I feel this... huge sense of guilt now. Seán seems much more tired with this than ever, and I feel that the end is approaching faster than we realize. Maybe it’s just he hasn’t found that spark again, and it’ll just take time, but it feels like he’s just doing this out of obligation. Maybe it’s just this year. That fear that something horrible will happen.

Why? Because for the first five years of his career, Seán had his nose to the grindstone. Or... YouTube Play Button.

And while his double upload schedule was rewarding and he loves creating content, YouTube was his only source for happiness at that time.

That constant grind was also destroying him at the same time.

Almost eight years after a sad lonely twenty-two year old Lad began uploading videos from his parents’ Cabin, Seán is happier, both personally and professionally, than he’s ever been. He no longer feels the need to put all of his eggs into YouTube’s basket and maybe that scares some people.

But I don’t think a small group of vitriolic haters have any influence over where his life is going. Sure, this latest mistake has shaken him. But it was the Mods who brought it to his attention and not some egotistical bully. I’m pretty sure he’s blocked most, if not all, of the “tea blogs.”

It was hasty for me to make assumptions early on, and looking back on this post now, it was likely on a day where the t*a blogs were more active. I tend to get a bit more... let’s say melancholy about things on days like that. I allowed myself to give in to some fear, and for that I am sorry. He has worked hard to get to where he is, and he deserves to rest now. I should have been more considerate of that fact.

Incidentally, I wish that Tumblr would implement a post-dating system like every other platform has! I’m glad you told me, as it adds perspective to your point of view. For posterity’s sake, I’m responding on October 8, 2020. 🤣

Seriously though— and again I hope I can make my point as amicably as possible without sounding like an arrogant asshole— I think a lot of people misinterpreted Seán’s six-week-long hiatus as a sign that he himself was broken.

While it is true that Seán’s break was a test to see if he wanted to come back and certainly everything that has happened this year is enough to drag anyone down, I don’t think he stopped uploading because he was unhappy.

The most significant difference between when Seán started doing YouTube nearly eight years ago and more recently is he’s actually happy outside of YouTube.

And a lot of these despicable tea bloggers can’t handle that having Evelien and BB in his life is a huge part of that difference! Malcolm said publicly that he’s never seen Seán this happy. But, pfft! What does Malcolm know? He’s only Seán’s oldest brother, am I right? 🤣

I could honestly keep talking about this, particularly since I just opened the can of worms that is the hypocrisy of tea bloggers calling us stans when they are the ones acting like they own Seán!

But for now, I’m going to suggest that, in addition to the wonderful reaction videos between Seán and David JP Phillips, I highly recommend (if you haven’t already done so) watching Philip DeFranco’s “Convo With” Seán. The two of them cover the reason for Seán’s break as well as many other topics.

Honestly with my first post, I think was being a tad overdramatic in regards to “the end is approaching.” In retrospect, I’m really happy he took that break for himself. And in all honesty the more sporadic upload schedule works out better in the long run for both sides in my case. Better to not have as many videos to watch when I should be focusing on college ya know.

But yeah, regarding the next point, it is... disturbing how hypocritical t*a blogs can be. I know and we all know that they really don’t have any power over Seán, but it can be easy to forget that when you’re witness to the constant nagging and harassment. But that’s a topic for another day 😅

I actually have seen Seán’s interview with DeFranco! It was really nice and I’m pretty sure it popped up sometime after that original post up there, but it did restore some of that hope I had let myself lose. But I have not watched the watch dog episode in full yet, so that may be good for me to see even if I’m not as interested in the game itself.

I have been looking far to deep in @blue-shaded posts and the posts that are messing me up are of Evelien’s modelling gig in Japan.

They are calling Evelien disgusting for saying “I look damn sexy”

I love that they had a knee jerk reaction that Seán said 🤡

Back to the point, they are accusing Evelien for anorexia back when she was modeling in Japan 🇯🇵 I think that is disgusting since Japan doesn’t have western sizes for clothing, everything runs small in some or most stores.

You know why I know that cause I watch a lot of Japanese people on YouTube or people that moved there. I hate that Blue is tainting my learning experience for Japan.

All I’m saying is that those posts trigger the ever loving shit on of me that I just didn’t take care of my body recently, no sleep, barely eating and can’t get out of bed.

Preach people to "leave if they don't like Jack anymore" but their own rule doesn't apply to them because they must stay, they must annoy and harass people. Justifying themselves with a childish "Why don't YOU leave my blog". Why it doesn't apply to them?

The same people preaching "There’s constructive criticism, Which is what we provide every now and then and none of you stannies have given us anything. You all just focus on what you believe are negative parts of us" are the same using a gossip site for prove Seán cheated on Signe, call Jack "big a** coward" in a "Sean doesn't care about you, look at me, I do" post where are trying to beg for minorities sympathy... Yeah "Constructive Criticism". And if their "Now and then I make constructive criticism" is surrounded by "Most of the times I hate" it's hard to take them seriously. Seem that because sometimes had some kind of criticism, justify and make true their reasons for hate Jack.

I’m speaking to POC especially, Blue is WHITE! So even if you take comfort in venting, they’ll never know what you really have to go through, ESPECIALLY if theyre reasoning is to show how better they are at caring for POC issues then another white person is!

Someone recently “ratted” me out to blue-shaded, a toxic so-called tea blogger who spends most of their time trying to cancel Seán and Evelien while simultaneously accusing anybody who pokes holes in said accusations of having too much time on their hands.

(Slight pause whilst the hypocrisy steeps into the teapot.)

Naturally, blue’s response to the Anon was to call me a “stannie,” which I find hilarious. I don’t use words like “stan” or “ship,” in their current vernacular and I’ll tell you why.

I’ve never engaged in either of these behaviors.

Stans and shippers tend to feel this sense of entitlement towards the entertainers they watch. A lot of them think they have control over the lives of the people to whom (in the case of YouTubers and Twitch Streamers) they give Watch Time.

The classic “You owe me” mentality.

This is typical behavior for a stan.

I don’t blame the nine year old girl. I blame her sibling.

Let’s just assume, for the sake of providing a counterpoint, that this story is true. Where is it goddamn written that Seán— or anyone else who entertains for a living— is obligated to stop and talk to every single person he encounters?

But... but... Seán has stopped in public before and has spoken to viewers!

Okay then. To use another example where a fan has taken a mile where an inch was given: Gabriel Iglesias has told people to come up to him anytime they see him. However, I remember a few years ago when Fluffy Tweeted about a fan that became far too pushy; wanting pictures taken when Gabriel’s son Frankie was both younger and with him at the time.

ENTERTAINERS HAVE LIVES, PEOPLE!

This is why boundaries need to be both set and respected. Just because a person is famous that doesn’t mean they have to let you approach them every time they’re in public.

Wholeheartedly agree. Even if I personally were to believe that story (which, honestly, I don’t. Anything coming from that blog on the occasion that I see it I can and will never believe with how radical Blue is.), while I would feel for the supposed child in this case, we’re in a pandemic, and people have a right to privacy. If what was said actually happened (which again I sorta doubt as people on both sides of a story tend to exaggerate details), then yes, it could have been handled better. The point still stands that now is not the time to interact in public.

The entire “come to me if the big bad man has ever hurt you I’ll keep you safe” message perpetrated on that blog in all honesty is a form of manipulation, “grooming” (if I may use such a blunt phrase) others into believing that they should hate sean and anyone else around him, and taking every action he does as a personal attack. Then having the gall to call everyone who doesn’t do so “sheep” or “truth deniers” or “stannies”.
