I really like the dynamic Loki and En would have if they were in a relationship in canon verse, but honestly, I like to think of them in a Modern Setting so much because, uh, thereās so much possibilities:
A) At the beginning Loki thinks that the Grandmasterās music taste is kinda lame so whenever he plays one of his 80ās Unforgettables (and seriously, who uses CDs anymore?) he just rolls his eyes and tries to ignore it. With time, though, the music starts to grow on him, and one day he finds himself singing Hungry Like the Wolf and Caribbean Queen in duet with En at full volumen. Itās 5:00 am, heās drunk as hell and heās not even sure since when he knows the lyrics, but he realizes that heās already been converted and that thereās no turning back.
B) The Grandmaster finding out about how Loki grew up in an emotionally abusive home and trying to help him go through the sequels that left in him. He always makes sure Loki knows that heās proud of him and of his acomplishments, but also wants him to see that making a mistake is okay and not something he should batter himself over.
C) En buying Loki a teddy bear for San Valentin and Loki being super weirded out about it. Heās not a little girl to be gifted such things and heās kind of embarrased about it, but he accepts it anyway because he doesnāt want En to feel offended. He just puts it on a hidden drawer in his closet and kind of forgets about it. Later in their relationship, when things start to get more serious and Loki is coming to terms with the fact that he might actually be in love, he finds the teddy bear again and gets it out of the closet. He puts it on a high shelf besides his books, and whenever En is away and he starts to feel lonely he takes it down and hugs it against his chest. Itās his biggest secret and heād die of embarrasement if anyone found out, especially Thor.
D) One day, after he has a low blood sugar episode the Grandmaster is rushed to the hospital. When Loki goes to see him heās attended by a nurse who tells him that his āfatherā is okay and heāll be able to see him in a few minutes. Loki is so angry about it that he screams at the girl āHeās not my father, heās my lover. I HAVE SEX WITH HIM!ā The Grandmaster hears everything from the safety of his room and never letās Loki forget about it.
E) Loki having anxiety issues and suffering panic attacks whenever heās in a very stresful situation. En always makes sure to bring along some of his sedatives when they go out because he knows Loki always forgets. When anxiety kicks in and they are in public he doesnāt get too clingy because he knows Loki doesnāt like that when thereās people watching. So he just put his hand on the back of Lokiās neck and tells him to breathe with him until he calms down. He becomes such an important part of the process that whenever Loki feels that heās about to have an attack his first instinct is to call En so he can talk him through it, even if itās just by the phone.
F) Loki having a major altercation with his family when they find out heās dating a guy almost twenty years his senior. Frigga is, for the most part, just worried about him. The Grandmaster doesnāt look like a very trustworthy fellow, and she thinks heās just manipulating Loki to have sex with him. Odin is super pissed because he doesnāt like the idea of Loki having relationships with men in general, let alone with one who has his fatherās age. He doesnāt really care if there are feelings involved or not; he wants it to end and in no time he starts to throw around ultimatums. Thor is slightly more open about the idea, because he at least doesnāt talk down to Loki and allows him to explain the situation. Heās still not happy about it, though. To everyoneās surprise, the only one in the family who thinks that nothing funny is going and hopes the best for their relationship is Hela. She also threatens to kill the Grandmaster if she finds out he is just toying with her little brotherās heart, though.
G) En being really bad at watching horror movies and covering his face with the sheets everytime they watch one. Loki doesnāt understand why he even bothers because he misses half the film and never sees the scary parts. Still, when the movie is too much for him to handle, he has nightmares for days and Loki has to hold him through the night and shush him whenever a loud sound comes from outside. He wants to be annoyed by it, but the whole thing is just too endearing.
G) Loki and En hitting a Casino and winning under the pretence that everytime Loki kisses the dices he gives En luck. They are actually counting the cards and when they are found out, they escape by jumping through the window and into the floor below. Sadly, they leave the money behind.
I) En trying his best to give Loki all the love his family, with the exception of his mother, never gave him. He showers him with kisses and hugs him from behind and has tickle fights with him just to hear him laugh. Itās hard sometimes because Lokiās need of attention is ridiculously big, and sometimes the stupidest comments can end in a fight, but itās always worth it whenever he sees that look of sheer adoration the little pest has reserved only for him.
J) Loki and the Grandmaster deciding to live together. Enās house is big and comfy, even though the decoration is excentric, almost bordering tacky. Loki doesnāt know of he likes it the beginning, but soon they set into a routine, and heād surprised by how easy is to make himself at home. They watch crappy TV together, take turns to make lunch, and when heās having trouble sleeping, En reads him from one of the big thomes on phylosophy he has in his bedroom until he falls asleep. They spend all Sunday mornings laying awake in bed together - having sex, conversating and watching movies. Even thought sometimes he has to put up with En playing Duran Duranās greatest hits until 2:00 in the morning, itās worth it.
