If Woman can predict Man, then Woman is an opponent who leverages power through engagement with Man. The only way for "Man" to escape the Threat that Woman poses is to cease engagement. He retains "victory" (escape from woman) by maintaining distance from Woman, and because explicitly admitting the possibility that Woman could ever hold power over Man is Losing, has no option but to tell himself that this is not Fear of Losing Control, but a natural consequence of Posessing Control.

Man rejects any but the most surface-level engagement with Woman, but because "Hiding From Woman" means "Woman Is Threat", and BELIEVING "Woman Is Threat" is unacceptable, Man attempts to cut Woman from the narrative.

LEVEL 5: Man, possessing the "inner woman"'s "inner man" but determined to escape the influence of "woman", mentally erases "Woman" but retains the caricature's caricature of "inner man", who is desirable to BE.

Man possesses exaggerated image of Man, who now exists solely as the Ultimate Desireable Form. In order to achieve this form, Man must constantly see through his eyes, but in order to remain safe in his position of power over Woman, he must erase any trace of evidence that he is DOING this for Woman.

If we construct an environment where the rules are

"There are two parties that cannot survive without assistance from the other"

"One party dominates the other"

"Control is domination", and

"To be dominated threatens your survival",

I don't get how people forget or never learned that.

The fact that people are being locked up for recreational drug use or being too old and frail to mow the lawn as often as the HOA would like, or being the wrong color in the wrong place doesn't debunk the idea that we probably don't want people who go around stabbing or might have gone around stabbing to roam free.

And we're back to the recurring problem with prison abolition discussion, the frequently (or even consistently) unanswered question of how violent/potentially violent people should be handled instead.

Crime that isn't financially motivated is motivated by mental health issues. A robust free mental healthcare system that treats acts of violence and also hatred and abuse of all kinds as the failure of mental healthcare that it is can prevent the majority of remaining crime.

This has been studied extensively and proven pretty conclusively and a number of Scandinavian countries are working on implementing systems like this, while their crime rates are cratering as a result.

No, it's not possible to 100% eliminate crime by any known means, but the highest success rates in the world for preventing violent offenders from continuing to commit crimes in the future are countries where the closest equivalent to "prison" looks more like an apartment complex that residents aren't allowed to leave, with mandatory therapy sessions.
