Well wishes and a very warm welcome to my little corner of literary madness. A place where I attempt to find myself by hence loosing myself in a slew of my beloved words. As a representative of often discordant thoughts, here is my attempt to organize the mess that is my mind ~

But I still followed up

Barely a good morning when you walked in

Just took the broom handle I asked to borrow

Checked if it was straight like checking a scope

Then asked me about progress in my projects

Told me about a tool you wanted to buy

Rare spark in your eyes

Excited that would help with the speed of flooring

Grabbed your signature faded jean jacket

To meander outside and sit on the porch

In our rocking chairs, to watch the trucks come in

You have NO idea how much I treasure these little conversations with you

How much I utterly adore the old man that is you

Love: (a noun and verb) Something that already is as well as something to do and become. How do I love you? Allow me to count the ways:

Learn about them, remember and actively apply all their preferences, behaviors, mannerisms

All the little details 

Listen to them and validate their feelings

Want to talk to them even during difficulty to understand them better

Make consistent time and effort to either check up on them or be with them

Feel safe enough to be vulnerable and ask for help

Feel safe enough to be quiet with them

Aggressive affection for days INCLUDING constantly highlighting their goodness

 Be their biggest cheerleader

Make the time to be there when they need you

For the good, the silly, the bad, and the ugly

Celebrate with them about them and over all their accomplishments

Don’t give up even when they don’t respond the way you want them too

Defend and guard their good name

Let them feel safe with you

But most paramount, they inspire you to become better through your own creativity and growth 

Rather tickled pink with how all of these turned out ^~^

Necessary for existence

I do not need to adhere to shifting standards

To win acceptance or approval

I do not need to be beautiful or pretty to be kind

Something about going to the temple

And doing work for family from Australia and England

All dressed in white, the color of all the rainbow

Being greeted by a Tongan Sister

Ushered in with the speed and urgency of a Latina Sister

Being blessed by the rhythmic cadence of a sister from Africa

Having PHM “Connection” playing in my mind as I recall about the Golden Record flying through space

Passing through time and eternity, linking all people of earth in their desire to connect

And how that mirrors what I feel, what I picture, when I think of my human family in the temple

*proceeds to watch Project Hail Mary multiple times in theater and avidly follow anything related to the Artemis II mission , to the point of buying paraphernalia, trying to indoctrinate closest relations, and being sparked with immeasurable amounts of creativity*
