Final Version
My goal was to convey Lucy as youthful and energetic. Therefore I have made her movements very big. She uses her arm very kiddy-like as opposed to the behaviour of the grandmother. Lucy balls her fists in excitement . She throw arms in enthusiasm. She kicks her legs out. She bobs her head and uses her head movement to show emotion. She tilts her forward when she is doubting. Her eyes also tell what she is thinking. Her eyes wide open give the sense she is interesting, that she wants to hear more from the grandmother. When her eyes closes slightly, it shows she is unsure, perhaps not fully believing the peril folktale that grandmother is telling her. I probablly could have made her blink more so she looks more natural, but she looks pretty good to me as is.
Things that come to mind when animating the grandmother: She is aged and obviously her movements would be slow but calm. Her arm movements are more panned and concise as opposed Lucy’s. Where Lucy would throw her arms like a kid, Grandmother uses her gestures to make a point. Her gestures convey to what she is saying. Similar to how italians are known for clasping the tip of their fingers together when speaking. Grandmother draws attention with her hand, not so much as to frighten Lucy, but she uses in accordance with her speech. And when she is not speaking, she either lays her hand on the stomach or on the bed. This is natural as opposed to having her hands float around or suspend mid air. Grandmother’s facial expression also adds to her story telling. She raises brow to reinforce her point. “Oh my, yes, no one escapes to poltergeist vortex”. This can be contrasted with the way Lucy uses her brow. Lucy uses it more in the way to show that she is interested, and excited.
Another pass of the grandmother and Lucy. Grandmother is getting better in this pass. She looks more natural and her movements are smooth. However there is something off about her which I will hopefully figure out and fix in my final edit
I am very happy with this pass of Lucy. Her brow looks very natural. The eyes show she is excited, hooked on the story that grandmother is telling her.
One of my initial passes at grandma.
Her movements are slow and smooth, which is good because it matches how an aged person would behave. Her facial expression is getting close to what I have in mind. Which is to show patience and vigilance. She is motherly, trying to impart her knowledge onto Lucy through perhaps a peril folktare. However, in this pass, the grandmother sort of swirls around. Its ironic cause or originally i added body movements to make her seem more natural, but as it turns out, she looks weird af. She looks otherworldly and extraterrestrial the way her upper body gyrates, it is very unnatural. I will be trying to fix that in my later passes

Weight Lift Final
1. Walk up the ball. 2. Stabilize his feet to build anticipation
3.Bend over
4. Reach his arm around the ball
5. Picks up the ball as his entire body squashes to knee level
6. His legs are bend at this point, to show that the ball is heavy
7. As seen in the reference video, the guy pushes the ball towards his chest for a firm grasp/ hold.
8. His readjusts his hand on the ball. This is inspired from the reference video as well.
9. He moves forward and stretch his body backward as he is lifting the weight up onto the pedestal.
10. Notice how he puts his right hand under the ball, therefore to make sure that the ball has actually landed on the pedestal.
11. Once the ball is on the pedestal, he pushes the ball forward just a little bit with his left arm and directs the ball with his right hand.
12. Finally a swift movement of his right hand brush against the surface of the ball to make it seem more natural and human.
