Not the first nor – as he would wager – last time he’s offered some recondite rarity for which he can easily produce one or two ideas on how to kill time on an idle afternoon, but otherwise fears both novelty and usefulness of the item would wear off quickly. What good is that knick-knack anyway to an overconfident customer who’d swear ( if asked ) he can bend said iron bars with sheer strength? Regardless he answers, “I’ll get back t’you on that the next time I intend to break someone outta jail.” For now his mind’s set on other ventures.

At the mention of trouble a mischievous smile flits across his face and lingers for a good while. “Family,” he declares then with the boyish glee of a teenager planning to steal his father’s car ( which, and it needs to be stated, Ray has undoubtedly done at least once at some point in his youth ). “My uncle’s plannin’ somethin’ n’ I need to get to the bottom of it. You wanna discuss the details here or—” With a curt nod he points towards their usual hangout for these conversations.

         “hmm? i heard it worked well enough in one of those before, so there’s that — though a bit of a waste; using it for something as mundane as a breakout.” they’ve already made peace with the fact that no hazardous, acidic substances would be sold today. might as well provide the other with a slightly more personal appraisal. “well, just don’t end up in jail yourself before you change your mind. i don’t do ‘house visits.’” ... not anymore, anyway.
