once again here to ask smth about the CCCC fandom because I joined in well after vol 1 was fully released

Where does the “quadrupedal-centric” joke come from? i get the ruler of everything ref (or at least I assume it to be related to ruler of everything, considering the line “she criticises me for being ego-centric”) but again I’m not quite sure where the joke actually spurred from

I found this wonderful screenshot, but again, it doesn’t give much context (and thus I’m not even fully sure if it’s real — I assume it is though)

Yeah, I personally agree that they are nb, and I do personally believe that was Toby’s intent. so I’m not arguing that they can’t be or that they aren’t. it’s just… to specifically say “they are 100% confirmed to be nonbinary (because they use they/them)” and not smth like “oh yeah it’s confirmed they’re nb, Toby said so” or “it’s not confirmed, but it’s heavily implied and it’s most likely the intent” rubs me the wrong way, yk?

Again, I feel like the people specifically using only their pronouns and nothing else spreads the wrong message, because then people (especially people) may apply that ideology of “pronouns = gender” to other characters as well, or even to real people, even in cases where it (explicitly or inexplicably) doesn’t apply.

is… is part of the reason “mind trapped heart in a literal hole” is a generally agreed upon event partially if not wholly (haha double pun there) because of the line in The Mind Electric “see how his feet miss the grou-ou-ou-ound / and he falls inside a hole he dug for me” (/genuine question)

Like I chalked it up to being entirely from the cccc songs that I don’t really listen to a lot, and sure, maybe there’s more stuff about that there, but like????? How did I miss that line???? I actively listen to chonny jash’s TME (/rhetorical question)
