I was watching NCIS one night and I saw pendant Abby Scuito (Pauley Perrette) wore on one of the episode.  It was such a pretty pendant that I scoured the internet to find the picture of the character wearing it.  The picture that I have found was not so obvious but here is a close up of the pendant that she wore.

The gumball beads are made of acrylic and the colours are perfect for summer.

The miracle beads are quite interesting.  They contain a lucite core and are finished in a mirrored silver plate.  The silver plate is then coated in layers of lacquer.  When light passes through these layers of lacquer, it will reflect off the mirror-like plating.  And the result is an illusion of depth.  They also seem to glow too.

Make A Statement, Make It Yours!!!!

I first noticed these beads through my friend's instagram.  Initially, she would make bracelets out of these beads and sell them to her family and friends.  Nowadays, she supplies tensha beads and the variety keeps getting better and prettier.

So, what are tensha beads?  The word 'tensha' in Japanese means 'transfer'.  Beautiful decals are applied onto these acrylic beads and it is sealed and locked with an acrylic coating.  This coating prevents the beads from being scratched or chipped.  Sometimes gold accents are used to enhance the design of the beads.  And some of the beads are frosted, like the ones above.  These beads are handmade and therefore, are relatively costly from most beads.  However, they are worth their price when the beads are used as finished products such as bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc.

You can also add charms or tassels to jazz up the accessory.  I have added an owl charm to mine.

My mom, who also loves accessories, happened to walk by and was so smitten by this bracelet that she hijacked it before I can even upload to my website!!!! Oh, mummy!!!!! 

So, the good news is, I will be getting more tensha beads.

Make A Statement, Make It Yours!!!

I stumbled upon this beautiful piece of jewelry - Memory Locket and Floating Charms.  I fell in love with it immediately!!!! I went to search for suppliers that could provide good quality products with reasonable prices and I bought quite a number of items. This evening, my daughter, Hailey and I spent some mother-daughter time by creating memory lockets.  I made one for my sister and myself and she was tasked to create one for her cousin (my god-daughter) and for herself, as well. Below are the results of our creations.

This memory locket is for Gabby.  My daugher told me that her cousin loves animals and she chose a cat, a dolphin and an owl for this design.

For herself, she took the cross because she loves Jesus, her birthstone (December) and an anchor because she likes it.

This is for my dear sister, Merina.  As one may have already guessed, yes, she loves Hello Kitty.  No doubt about that.  I gave her a heart with the word "sister" inscribed on it and a pink flower because she loves pink and you can't go wrong with flowers!

For my own locket, I put my birthstone (July), a bag (I'm a bag person) and Paris 

because it's fashionable.

Sometime ago, I posted this picture of a beautiful brown-theme wrapped bracelet that a customer had ordered.  Then a few days later, an ex-school mate of mine asked me create one for her, using the same colour combination!  Made me a very happy gal!!!

So, here are the ingredients for bracelet.  I planned to finish it by today.  Let's see if I can complete it!!!

This is a second piece of customised wrapped bracelet that I have done for my client.  I've used seed beads in brown and gold tones, copper flower button and metallic greek leather to create this beautiful item.

I went ahead to post it on my FB, Instagram, Twitter and am happy to say that I have a request from another client!
