Gotta love how diavolo and Lucifer are wearing the same color palette, are almost always together, bring each other up somehow in conversations, also how almost every time someone is trying to figure some out about luci the brothers go, ‘let’s ask diavolo’, have had countless raised eyebrow moments like diavolo piggybacking luci, then going to the beach together alone, and diabolo being the only one to see luci out of his uniform(shirtless) and people see all this and go, “ oh well they just really respect each other and are just friends”

So this is a thought that's been bouncing around in my head for awhile, and I'd love to see your take on it! How do you think Diavolo and Lucifer would have reacted in a soulmate AU, finding out upon their first meeting that they were soulmates? Whether it's through some kind of soulmarks, or some other soulmate AU type of realization? 👀
First off:
Not only would it be hilarious that Diavolo might be walking around with these words on his body in this Soulmate AU,
He doesn't even hear what Lucifer says because, in his words, he was "too mesmerized" by his grandeur.
So having them find out by reminiscing like this in the middle of a punishment session centuries into the future is very much their style.

A conversation held for the submitted proposals for new clubs. The endless discussions on wether or not the society for human admirers should finally be permitted to be approved. Lucifer insists its unnecessary, it will only cause more trouble for the human exchange students. Diavolo thinks it might be a good cause to see how the student body has been taking to the new addictions to RAD.
So how exactly did Lucifer end up splayed all over his lord's lap?
"hah…" A hand tenderly grasp the nape of his neck, which is a stark contrast to the way Diavolo's mouth is devouring his. The demon prince kisses the same way he drinks his demonus, he tentatively gets a taste, he savours, and makes sure not to waste a single drop of what he likes.
The other's hands aren't as gentle, fingers grabbing red roots to control the angle of their heads just a bit better. So Lucifer's tongue can get deeper then his. Something Diavolo happily allows.
They remain tangled together, a subtle moment caused Diavolo's hips to be pressed closer. A needy moan, far unlike something the avatar of pride should produce, slips out. His head twitched to the side in pleasure for just a second. Yet, it made something greedy curl inside of the prince.
Lucifer attempted to get back to kissing, but Diavolo had other ideas. His hands traveled to buttons of the others outfit, a desperate need to feel the hidden skin of his lover. He gives Lucifer the kisses he desires. On his lips, his cheek, his neck and a deep, bruising one, right below his collarbone.
He made sure it's low enough, a place only he would get to see. After all, the only person allowed to see Lucifer's soft skin, slightly reddened by his flustered state, covered by Diavolo's love bites, should be him.
