London Locks in turn delves into why people decide to grow dreadlocks, as it is more of a lifestyle than simply a hairdo.Ā
As a young black man with dreadlocks I have had a first hand experiences with the various stereotypes that come with having dreadlocks. This film encapsulates both the good and bad of the city, but which ultimately highlights hope for a young generation eager to express themselves freely and honestly
Christianās film follows six individuals whom are all pioneering a change in the way young black men and women feel about their hair and personal image.Ā
London Locks will be hitting the film festival circuit this season and then be debuting online soon.

This animated short is the latest project released for Spotlight Stories, a smartphone-based video platform run by Googleās Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) group. Itās an interactive YouTube video compatible with Android phones, with a non-interactive 360-degree video version for iOS or web users.Ā
A collaboration with Aardman Animations, the project is another small step towards turning a Google experiment into a new artistic medium.

CHAZ BUNDICK (TORO Y MOI) | SKETCH TO SCREEN
Thereās not much Chaz Bundick canāt do. An inspiration to many out there, the singer (better known as Toro y Moi), producer, illustrator, designer and entrepreneur is just too-cool-for-school. This time around, he collaborates with LA-based platform Yours Truly to create this awesome little short film about how his graphics and illustration meets with his music. His quirkiness shines through, as he showcases his cool sketches and prints them on to t-shirts. I mean, if anything, itās inspired me to do the same and avoid the bullsh*t prices we have to put up with from brands these days. But hey, thatās another conversation to be had. In the meantime, check this great little video after the cut and wish how you were Chazās friend.
LHR15 | The Things I Think About, When I Think About Thinking
Creative platform LHR Exhibitions was founded by Hackney based illustrator and designer Mr Gresty in 2013. The name LHR comes from the three venues based in Hackney and Islington: The Lauriston, The Hanbury and The Regent where each of the exhibitions have been in residence. Each venue is a bar, which allows the exhibitions to stay up on display, it also means that the launch party can last longer, anyone can turn up and itās free of charge!Ā
The latest and final brief for the artists was based upon Grestyās own experiences of selling his work ā and a great way to end. He said:
āThe pieces of work that I have created and shown, that I havenāt been 100% happy with have sold well and those pieces of work that I am most happy with havenāt sold as well. I asked the artist this time to put forward work that they are really happy with and not because they are crowd pleasers.ā
