Controversial take but I think we more often need to accept that sometimes it’s not personal, but that a person still doesn’t fuck with us. They don’t want a relationship with us, they don’t wanna be our friend. We’re not their type for whatever reason. They don’t hate us but they aren’t interested in building something with us in any capacity. It’s not that they have a lot going on, it’s not that they can’t receive love, it’s not what a lot of people concoct just not to deal with the sting of rejection. Sometimes we’re just not somebody’s type. And that’s okay and we don’t have to curl up in fetal position in a corner about it. We will not be the type of every person we encounter and that is natural and nothing to lose sleep over

i will never tire of this topic sorry the dream smp is so in it's own category of insanity like okay you have the storyline of the smp and you can get that feeling watching early vods that you get with tv shows where seeing the beginning after knowing the end lets you view how innocent and full of heart everyone was at the start and the forlorn ache of knowing where they're headed, but it wasn't just the storyline. it was real life too, and it melds together. it didn't end and then everyone in real life went back to normal, curtains close and the cast laughs with each other and moves on to the next story. it Ended ended. it ended and then so did the real life relationships of the members. sometimes the way the roleplay world parallels this world is so intimate it's uncomfortable. dissecting the dream smp is like parasocial cocaine

“everyone is mad at me and they just won’t tell me” —> “no one has said anything about being mad at me and i haven’t done anything to warrant being mad at so if someone is silently fuming about me and not saying anything that’s their problem and actually quite weird of them and i can effortlessly move on with my life”
