The thing with reading about historical figures who were regarded as Big Fucking Weirdos in their day is that in practice, a lot of them were merely eccentric by modern standards and their contemporaries were just judgmental pricks, so it kind of takes you by surprise when you bump into one who was, like, legit a Big Fucking Weirdo.

Actually, no, I don't think that friendships dropping like flies in your late 20s and early 30s because no one has time for that between overwork and family obligations and marriage and kids and partners and the ritual of the time slayer is normal and ok.
