“Are they?” Taff asked casually, pretending she hadn’t seen that nearly everyone she’d run into had been attractive. “I hadn’t noticed.” She nodded in finality when Jubi agreed to always be her girl, but her assurance was short-lived. “I’m sorry, I think I have some cotton candy stuck in my ear. Did you just say she’s not that bad?”
“Please, haven’t you noticed?” Jubileena shook her head, ponytail flying. “You’ve gotta be kidding me.” The girl gave her an incredulous look, shaking her head before bringing her bottom lip into her teeth, biting down. “U-um, yeah, she isn’t--she’s nice.”
